The hotel itself is really lovely and is in a reasonably quiet area. ||Upon checking in were given a twin room, which was quickly rectified to a double. The room was lovely, with plenty of character and a four poster bed. The bathroom was very clean with a shower and bath. The mattress was extremely hard, but this is obviously down to personal preference. ||Unfortunately, we were then just left alone without being shown around the rest of the hotel, therefore finding the restaurant was a bit of a guessing game, resulting in us wandering around the area near the kitchen, which was for staff only. ||The hotel was very peaceful and the garden was well tended and beautiful, with tables and chairs and three loungers. The pool was empty when we arrived but was being filled on our second day, so I cannot comment on that. It looked lovely, though. ||Breakfast was fine - scrambled eggs/toast/the usual offered to tourists, but we found dinner a bit disappointing (and we LOVE Indian food), opting to eat out at some fantastic places on the other five nights. The restaurant also lacked any kind of atmosphere and was dead silent and a bit soulless.||It almost pains me to write the following at risk of sounding like a spoiled westerner, but we have done our fair share of 'budget' accommodation on two other trips to India and this time wanted something a little extra for our money... We spent a few afternoons lazing in the garden, but felt a little neglected. The lovely staff passed through numerous times but never stopped to ask if we needed anything (drinks etc.), which was unusual as we've had some incredible service in some much cheaper hotels/homestays. Not sure where to go to ask, we wandered until finding a member of staff.||The chap on the reception desk, whilst not the most forthcoming of souls, did arrange a driver for us for the day, as well as answering any other questions we had. We also had some laundry done, which came back the same day and immaculately ironed. ||The hotel is SO close to being wonderful, but it just needs a little refinement in terms of customer service, so that guests don't feel left to flounder. ||A recommended bit of peace and quiet in the mayhem of Jaipur.

The property is very old needs maintenance. The rooms are NOT up to the marks, very small rooms especially of ground floor. But the staff is cooperative. The only positive thing is the property is near to Shrinathi Ji Temple. ||The approach to hotel is also not neat & clean, they have to do something as the property has good potential. Stayed with the family.
Owner is friendly, rooms are good with proper Airconditioner n Fan Location is bit inside the place with very narrow lane with too much honking No tissue roll was provided , still good place to stay if the only motive is darshan
This is a classic old building which, sadly, has not been maintained for many years. It is basically just worn out and badly in need of renovation. It is also completely teetotal. Breakfast is served in the garden, a nice setting, but do not expect too much. The buffet is far from extensive with only one type of juice and sliced white bread but they will cook eggs to order.||||The location is quite central, the staff quite helpful, the owner quite grumpy...
We stayed 2 nights ||Positives |Breakfast served on the lawn. |Cute little swimming pool||Negatives|No bar. We got a staff member to go outside the hotel & bring back 2 beers|Bed was hard|The lighting in the bedroom was very dim. No natural light. Nearly impossible to put on make up |Confusing layout. |Hotel did not offer complimentary water. |
Very arrogant and non supporting staff, worst service
Just had 12 nights at the Madhuban couldn't have been better. Staff nothing was too much trouble for them booking train tickets (even the owners wife helped Sue with her saree ) Thank you one and all for making this such a fantastic and memorable trip
Very good place to stay, clean and well maintained rooms, at best price. Also very close to temple. Best is the owner Mr Bharat Ji and his staff is very cooperative. Jay Shri Krishna
