Daspan House

The best place we stayed in. We travelled around and had many great hotels.What is special about this hotel? It is not too big but it has it all. Even a great kitchen and the place feels like home. The decoration is just beautiful. There is so much attention for all the details, from furniture, art to the plants in the garden. There is so much to see and it is not too much. The people are more than friendly and the service level is top. The food is amazing. I highly recommend this hotel. Price - value is the best we had during our whole trip.

We stayed in a room on the ground floor, which was a bit dark and noisy from the passing dogs at the back of the property. |The staff was very friendly and pleasure to talk to, very helpful and informative when I needed some information or advice on what to see and do in Jodhpur. |I had some cool cocktails, which I haven't had before, in the tranquil garden, which is such a nice place for relaxation. |The breakfast was limited choice, but restaurant food was very good. Love the interior design and the atmosphere of the house. Love it!

We stayed at Daspan House for one night after a terrible night's sleep in another accommodation in Jodhpur. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed and treated so well, especially by the hotel manager. The manager happily gave us a late checkout when we asked for it, and let us stay on the hotel grounds and use the pool after check out when our flight was delayed. The rooms were pristine and tastefully thought out, the gardens impeccable and manicured. The hotel pool, amenities and bar and restaurant were all excellent - it was a trip highlight to have dinner out in the garden all lit up at night. We were very sad to check out the next day, but wish to thank all the hotel staff for making our stay at Daspan House so comfortable.

Can't understand why this hotel is only 4.2 aggregate rating. A really great boutique hotel. Friendly staff, good service and well appointed. Tasty food and drinks. Clean and comfortable with nice attention to detail, didn't want to leave. They did other stuff so well, I haven't even marked them down for the patchy WiFi, building works and v.poor front desk FX rate.

It was a little hard to find, but once we did it was all uphill. The hotel is a genuine oasis of civility, charm, and service. Thoughtfully decorated heritage house with a petit pool overlooking beautiful gardens, much appreciated in the heat of the afternoon. Personally I find the havelis in the town centers claustrophobic and appreciated the greenery, spaciousness, and trees full of parrots. The food was very nice, the staff helpful, the room comfortable, loved the sound of the fountain. There's a cool little bar to chill in while you check out the tips in the booklet "Unfolding Jodhpur". I wish I'd had time to get a head massage & take a yoga class. Extra bonus was a tuk-tuk available through hotel to use at night when we went out.

Wonderful oasis in Jodhpur! Staff Excellent!|Comfortable well sized rooms. Gardens and pool lovely (pool could do with heating)||The food and bar were great and the garden dinner tables were beautiful environment to eat in.||Hidden down a street but very easy to use as a base for exploring Jodhpur!

Lovely hotel in beautiful building that is well located for seeing the sights. The public spaces are great, comfy lounge, beautuful courtyard and restaurant. The pool area is really nice to relax in during the heat. Renovations to expand the hotel are underway so the pool spaces are a bit dusty. That will change. The pigeons use the pool as a birdbath so we didn't swim but the staff treat it often with chemicals. I loved the hotel. We enjoyed things like the heritage liquor tasting and dinner in the courtyard. Staff were terrific all the time. Super clean everywhere exceot as noted above which is really just temporary
