Killa Bhawan

The view from this hotel is incredible. The staff were lovely, friendly and very attentive. You can walk out the door of the hotel into the streets of a real living fort. I highly recommend staying here while in Jaisalmer. Why visit the fort when you can stay in it and live the history. This was an amazing experience and we loved our time in this hotel. Thank you all again for making the stay so comfortable and memorable for our little family.

This hotel inside the Jaisalmer fort is historic and stunning. The rooms are decorated in the period and the views are breathtaking. The staff is kind and welcoming to adults and children. We felt comfortable and all our needs were met. They made breakfast to order and tea/coffee on demand. The majestic views are the highlight and can't be beat anywhere

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful and specially memorable stay at Killa Bhawan situated inside the ancient gold city of Jaisalmer. We spent four nights at suite #10 with a 900 year old stone balcony overlooking the fort bathed in beautiful light in the morning. The room is spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated, with a modern bathroom, decent shower, and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious. Lovely common area has panoramic views and is the ideal nook for relaxation during the heat of the day. Prior to our arrival, I communicated with Bhanu Shrimali who always promptly responded to my many inquiries. We are grateful to Bhanu and all staff members for their kindness, warm hospitality, and attentive assistance/service during our stay. The unique location of the hotel provided precious opportunity and real pleasure for discerning travelers to explore/observe life inside the fort and the incredible beauty of the fort during the tranquil /peaceful hours. Bhanu also arranged an excellent private guide for us. The fond memory of our time at Killa Bhawan will stay with us for life. We enthusiastically recommend Killa Bhawan to independent travelers.

We stayed here for 2 nights |Being at the top of the fort was excellent. Not far to walk up & down to town below and once in the hotel it was peaceful but with great views. |What made the hotel so good was the care and attention from all the staff. |Our only negative was the room ( we had no 7, which was the smallest I think) - quite small with very small bathroom. |But everything else was really nice. |Breakfast was served on a terrace with great views. And it was simple but excellent. Fresh fruit, tea or coffee, freshly squeezed juice. Eggs and toast. ||We left to go on a camel safari and left our luggage to pick up on return, with some washing that they had done for us. |Nothing was too much trouble. ||The hotel was very clean, you could see the small kitchen area where breakfast was made. ||We enjoyed Jaisalmer and our camel safari - glad we visited.

We stayed for three nights at Killa Bhawan. It's a beautiful, heritage hotel with breathtaking views and impeccable service. The team are friendly and helpful, committed to low key, exemplary customer service. The hotel is beautifully appointed, everything works. There's lots of terrace space on different levels which provides guests with privacy. The hotel is centrally located, we walked everywhere. There are many excellent restaurants within east walking distance. We thank the team at Killa Bhawan for a lovely visit.

If you want to stay in the most beautiful, hospitable hotel then look no further. We were greeted by "welcome home" and that is precisely how it feels. So homely and comfortable with a delicious breakfast every morning (cheese omelette is a must). To be staying inside the fort with views of the whole of Jaisalmer was a dream come true. The most wonderful and hospitable owners - nothing was too much trouble. We instantly felt relaxed. We will definitely be coming back to Jaisalmer and we shall most certainly be booking back into Killa Bhawan. Heaven on earth.

We just spent an amazing 3 nights at this hotel, with awesome views from every room. The rooms are beautifully decorated and clean, the staff are very friendly, welcoming and tended to any request we had. |Breakfast every morning on the rooftop set us up for our day and Bhanu (the owner) was always on hand to guide us on places to see or to organise our guide for the day. Would definitely recommend this place.

This was the friendliest hotel ever! Nothing was too much trouble. Tuk tuks called, restaurants rung, trips to the dessert organised. A brilliant position. Super comfortable and good breakfast. I would so recommend it! A good shop too. Thank you
