Hotel Grand Khalifa

Beautiful use of the yellow Jaisalmer stone with exquisite carvings. They even upgraded our room to a suite. Neat and clean rooms, royal touch comes specially when you enter the bathroom. The quality of Linen as well as toilet accessories was very good.|Rooftop restaurant offers open as well as closed space. Breakfast is very basic, but served neatly.||The flip side: Reception area does not give the feel of very good Hotel. The staff, even the front office people, does not smile. Only exception were two people during our 3-days' stay. One was a middle aged guy who interacted with us couple of times and another was Raees at the restaurant.|Actually the hotel is owned by a former cabinet minister of Rajasthan who spent lavishly on building but forgot to spend a fraction of it on training of the staff managing the hotel. |In the hospitality business, it's not the walls that welcome you but the environment given by people that creates happy moments and everlasting memories.

Gem of a hotel, hidden under the backdrop of Jaisalmer fort. Excellent facilities. Clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Staff are local and helpful. We only frequented the restaurant for breakfast again which was basic but tasty. We booked a walking tour with a local guide who spoke very good English. The 3 hour took us around all the Havelis and into the local markets. Well worth going for a true reflection of local life.

Grand Khalifa transcended every possible opportunity to make our stay in Jaisalmer a memorable one. They have the best cooks in the business. The staffs were also amazing. They made us feel at home. We wish to stay here during our next visit as well.

Beautiful hotel, peaceful and quiet with stunning architecture. Our room was luxurious, spacious and clean, with a large comfortable bed and plenty of pillows. The hotel has a cascading swimming pool and a rooftop terrace which is great for breakfast with a view of the fort. We opted for the deluxe suite whilst staying in Jaisalmer after several mid-range hotels in other places and revelled in the size and luxury of the suite. Large bedroom, large bathroom with his and hers wash basins and a great shower, living room with sofas and a fridge. The manager Raj was great but the other staff in general weren't the friendliest we've come across, not sure whether that's due to shyness or trying to be professional but they weren't overly warm. We loved our stay and how close to the fort we were. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed 4 nights at this outstanding hotel. Rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was very good, plentiful and well presented. Staff were polite and helpful. Mr Khan made sure we had a great stay. Many thanks

I recommend this hotel to all friends and family. The rooms are the most luxurious, it's like taking a step back in time to staying in a palace. The employees are the most kind, always have your best interest at heart. The best pool in jaisalmer!

Amazing property and such a welcoming staff. Especial mention to Khan Bhai . Thank you for all hospitality and services. Made trip memorable. I will also recommend their Luxury Tents if anyone is looking to spend some time in desert. It's luxurious and beautiful .
