My stay at Shahi Palace was truly special! This charming hotel captures the essence of Jaisalmer with its beautiful traditional architecture and warm hospitality. The staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome, offering helpful tips for exploring the city. The rooftop restaurant is a highlight--serving delicious Rajasthani cuisine with breathtaking views of the golden city, especially at sunset. Its location is perfect, just a short walk from Jaisalmer Fort and the vibrant local markets. If you want an authentic cultural experience with genuine warmth, Shahi Palace is a wonderful choice. I'd love to stay here again!

Situated in a perfect location, Shahi Palace Hotel is a family-run business located just outside the walls of Jaisalmer's historic golden fort. It is captivating with its traditional Rajasthani architecture of golden stone which keeps the hotel cool at all times. The hotel offers breathtaking views, good amenities and excellent hospitality. I had the opportunity to meet all the family during my stay, host Devilal and sons Akshy & Vijay. All are very friendly and kind.||I stayed in one of the Deluxe Double Rooms which had a breathtaking views of the fort. The room was spacious, with a window seat overlooking the fort. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room had all the expected amenities, AC, TV, mini fridge and high-speed Wi-Fi. On the rooftop, where you can find the restaurant, you have views of the Golden fort & Jaisalmer. Perfect at Sunset. The fort also lights up at night, making it an idealistic spot for dinner. The restaurant has a warm cosy atmosphere with delicious food Rajasthani food. The restaurant staff were very helpful. The combination of luxurious accommodations, breathtaking views, and excellent service made for a truly memorable experience. If you come to Jaisalmer, please stay at Shahi Palace.

2 days in Jaisalmer is not enoghp, I wanted to come back. The hotel is at good location ,close to fort ,market, and other city points. Fort 10 minutes walk , same for gadi sagar and havelis are same distance . The hotel owner is friendly and caring . This hotel offered just what I was looking for - very good accommodation, friendly and helpful staff, and a location outside the fort but convenient to the fort. I stayed here 5 nights. I did not want to stay inside the fort because of concerns how that might impact the fort. The owner Devi was most helpful in providing information and making some travel arrangements for me. He is a wonderful person. Most of the staff are long-time employees. Hotel was clean. Terrace cafe served delicious food. I recommend Shahi.

A good hotel in Jaisalmer city. Came here with friends for business trip. One of our Mumbai friend recommend for shahi palace hotel. Hospitality of this hotel was great and excellent . The roof top restaurant have really good view of golden fort. The room was clean and hygiene.

We had such an amazing time at this hotel! The room was beautiful and super comfortable, with a great bed and cozy pillows.||The rooftop is definitely a highlight, offering a breathtaking view over Jaisalmer, especially at sunset. It's the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring.||The staff were all so kind, welcoming, and attentive - they truly made us feel at home.||This is without a doubt the place to stay in Jaisalmer. There are so many activities available to help you discover the city and its surroundings - from desert tours to cultural experiences.||Highly recommend - we would come back in a heartbeat!

I stayed 11 nights at Shahi Palace and I just loved it. The owner Devilal is a genial host who is rightly proud of his hotel's reputation. Rather than resting on his laurels, he is always putting the work in to improve things. He really makes guests feel well looked after - for example, on finding out I'm gluten intolerant, he went out of his way to find me local snacks made with gluten free flours to try (they were delicious!) and even made some for me himself as well. He takes takes time to chat to guests, which creates a friendly atmosphere. It's the kind of place where guests talk to each other and you meet interesting people. Akshay, Sunil, Ketharam and the rest of the team do a great job, and their friendly, helpful attitude makes the hotel really stand out. The decor is lovely and there's a fantastic roof terrace restaurant with spectacular views of the fort. I was definitely glad to be staying outside the fort. For a start, water usage by hotels in the fort is causing serious conservation issues, but also, I just found there was too much tourist hustle in the fort. Visiting the sights there is fine but I wouldn't want to stay in that area. Shahi Palace is in a more peaceful part of town but is only about 10 minutes' walk from the fort gate. The desert trip organised by the hotel was magical. We visited a deserted village, oasis and fort before going for camel ride to the dunes where a tasty dinner was cooked for us in a peaceful spot away from other tourists. We headed back to the hotel for the night, but there was also the option to sleep in the desert under the stars. All in all, a fantastic stay and I would love to come back!

All the staff here were fantastic! So friendly and hospitable to my every need. They organised a camel tour with a separate company when they weren't going themselves that day, stored my luggage and let me shower and rest before my night bus the next day. Beds were comfortable and rooms were decorated nicely. It's a roughly 10 minute walk to the entrance of the fort, but that also means you get a view of the fort from the rooftop and it's a bit more chilled and quiet at night. Great stay!
