Rang Mahal Jaisalmer

Fantastic experience: Great hotel, nice garden, and pool; very comfortable rooms and delicious meals, with European and Indian dishes. Exceptionally kind personnel, proactively helping customers and making them feel pampered... We all appreciated the stay!

Rang Mahal is an excellent hotel. The best we have had in a 20 day tour. Mahal Lal an outstanding waiter. The dinner for 2 nights excellent. Fresh flavors and great choice. The rooms are very good and the whole hotel spacious and spread out. The young woman who welcomed us and is the service / reception manager is outstanding, had great information and followed up promptly. We certainly would recommend the Rang Mahal.

The restaurant experience here was fantastic. The guidance in selection of items and the service with a smile by Mr Vijender Singh, was highly professional and made our 4 days stay here, very memorable. We wish Vijender all the best. Sarita, Steward also needs mention for her efficient service.

A comfortable stay at a modern hotel with spacious rooms, good breakfast choices and attentive service. We stayed in the more utilitarian 3-storey motel-like "new" block. The standard room is spacious with a settee nook, a modern bathroom with shower cubicle and bath tub. The reception area has an impressive chandelier and a gallery of colourful murals. The swimming pool is good for a swim. However the gymnasium is tuck away in forgotten musty building. The al-fresco dining area has nightly entertainment.

Since the moment we arrived , felt so privileged, felt welcomed n cared for!The staff here really knows how to make guests feel special.All the staff (Ms Shalini, Harpreet, Komal Siddhu n Ms Love preet in particular ) at Reception rendered excellent services. |Food services were excellent with variety of items n menu suitable to all . Thanksto all Staff at restaurant (Head of te Food section, Mr Vikram, Mr Makhan in particular)deserve great appreciation.|To be frank great experience , so cooperative, polite, sweet staff at the Reception. Cleanliness n maintenance Superb!!.Really would love to visit again .

I recently stayed at Rang Mahal, after being recommended to us by a friend. And for our first time in Jaisalmer, we were excited about the hotel. Unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. First, the service was extremely disappointing. The staff seemed disinterested, and it took a long time to receive any assistance when needed. The buffet was another major letdown. At nearly double the price of similar hotels, the food quality was subpar at best. The variety was limited, and much of the food appeared overcooked or poorly prepared. Given the exorbitant cost, I expected much better. The room itself was also underwhelming. For what I paid, I was expecting far better comfort and amenities. Lastly, we had been told about a traditional Indian welcome and were expecting that, but that did not ake place.

Hotel Rang Mahal in Jaisalmer has an impressive heritage campus with golden walls, but the experience didn't quite match the expectations. While the welcome was decent, the rooms, though decorated with heritage interiors, may not appeal to those who prefer modern designs. The restaurant staff showed strange behavior on a few occasions, and their lack of training in hospitality and cooking was evident. Given the overall infrastructure and service quality, the pricing feels unjustifiably high. For example: Single Papad costs 250 rupees, tea costs 350+ taxes, pizza/burger cost was 1000+taxes during the cultural programme in the garden in the evening.

Our stay in Rang Mahal was very pleasant. It was a very beautiful and clean hotel. The staff was very helpful. They even remembered what we always drink in the morning and evening. There was also live music and dance in the evening, while we enjoyed our dinner. The staff was always near and quickly brougt extra delicious food like naan in the evening and croissants in the morning. Always freshly made by the cooks. We were served by Makhan Lal, he was very observant and very helpful.
