This hotel resembles ancient architecture and high ceilings with very colourful artwork. The rooms on the 3rd floor open to the large rooftop and seating area. The rooms are spacious with many windows around the room. The marble floors give you a warm welcome You can opt for dining inside air conditioning or outside the garden. A local musician plays soothing music. The local food is delicious and staff take time to explain its preparation and check for spice preferences. Special mention to Shankar who did an excellent job The only downside is that the hotel does not have a lift. So walking down three flights of tall steps can be inconvenient
This is a charming hotel with historic architecture and decor. The location is a bit strange as it is located between many auto repair shops in a not so great environment. But once you enter, it's like an oasis of calm. ||The breakfast is served outside on a patio and is very pleasant. ||The first night we found the mattress to be very hard and we asked the front desk to address this. When we came back from touring, we found that they had replaced the mattress with a softer one. ||The staff is very helpful and attentive.
Cool and old fashioned hotel. The rooms are nice and big, the bathroom modern and A/C work in well. The hotel has great service and cool music throughout the day as a Sheikh is playing with his instrument at the garden. Location is also very good.
The Haveli close to the colorful shops in Jaipur is a gem, the garden very pretty, the room we had was nice and the staff friendly and attentive.|The decoration on the walls and in the restaurant are simply stunning. |However...|The premise is home to the owner's family (I assume) whom we had the pleasure to see reside on the terrace completely ignoring the guests. In other places like that we were greeted by the owner and really made feel at home, here you felt like a cash cow.|Also - as already mentioned in other reviews - the owners kids raced around the dining tables on the terrace with their bicycle and scooter (Roller). This was left uncommented by their parents, ignoring that guests might feel disturbed.|As Jaipur has become a very popular place for tourists around the globe and due to the favorable location of Alsisar, I think the owners simply will get along with this attitude.|Fortunately, this was the only event like this during our 3 weeks travel across Rajasthan
Beautiful building - ancestral summer home converted to a heritage hotel in the 1990s.||The room was large, bed was ok, didn't need the air con so can't comment on effectiveness or noise. The room did have a ceiling fan. The place has style but needs an update. ||All the staff are pleasant and helpful ||The sitting areas are nice as is the pool area, the pool is cold.|After 2 nights the menu is limited ..... equally breakfast is a little limited but there is an egg man.| |It's fairly central so be prepared for traffic noise and noise within the hotel is noticeable.||All depends what experience you want
Very special haveli in Jaipur. My daughter and I stayed two nights here and loved everything about Alsisar. The property is beautiful and as a restored haveli gives you a slice of what it was like to live in such a unique property. The dining room is stunning with a long dining table, chandeliers, hand painted scenes on the walls and ceilings, portraits of the Alsisars, excellent food, and very personal service from the wonderful waiters. We really enjoyed our meals. The pool is stunning and provides such a relaxing respite from the city. The details throughout and in the common areas are just beautiful. We booked a tour through the hotel that was excellent and we also booked our transportation through the hotel. I highly recommend staying here.
We've stayed here several times as a family and for business. (2 toddlers)|Truly, we wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else while in Jaipur. |We are taken care of tirelessly and you really feel like apart of the family. The architecture is stunning and the countless hours of hand painted details will keep your eyes wandering for days within the walls.|Whatever you need, they have you. There is so much bustle to Jaipur and once you enter the premises, you're transported to somewhere serene. |If you stay here, you WILL enjoy your time and you may not want to leave! |Get to know the staff and whomever you come across while you're there. They are devoted to you and the least we can do as guests is to show them that we care about each other. |See you guys again! until next time
