Umaid Safaris Desert Camp, Raisar, Bikaner

Had a peaceful and memorable stay at Umaid Safaris. The tents were clean and comfortable, and the staff was warm and helpful. The cultural evening with folk music was a great experience. A good choice for a quiet desert getaway.

This is home stay in desert camping ground and was my night halt on a solo trip. Suited me perfectly and was a relaxing stay.. The owner is a hands on guy staying on the property. Rooms are bare basic and water is plenty. Any cleaning issues are addressed promptly. Swimming pool was clean and well maintained. This won't give you a Jaisalmer desert experience but good as an oasis farm stay for a day. The entire location is crowded with similar businesses and gets noisy in the evening with entertainment programs blaring.

This place was absolutely perfect for a family and friends getaway, offering a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The food and facilities were top-notch, and the nighttime accommodations were consistently great. The room's aesthetic was also perfectly suited for our stay.

Ambience of the resort is super. The way the service was given was amazing. Food quality was absolutely hygienic and tasty. Rooms were clean and hygiene.must visit place.

Do not fall for the 5 star reviews that you may be seeing on google. Most of them seems to be paid reviews. I stayed in this resort with my spouse for 2 nights and have had terrible experience. The resort is pathetically dirty and ill maintained to say the least. The owner is on his toes to cut corners in everything that they deliver. Even water bottles that are given to you are of cheap plastic and are unbranded. With a 2700/night price a Rs.20 Bisleri bottle is isn't an expensive ask.||The food is over priced and the resort milks the most because you can't get out and explore options outside due to its location in a desert jungle.||We were given a hut which is clumsy and dirty on arrival and were told that all other huts were occupied and there isn't anything that they can do about it. On asking why we cant see anyone around if all of the accommodation were occupied. The answer from the staff was that everyone has gone for a desert safari as a group and that all of them will return back. To our surprise, it was a blatant lie and there was ZERO occupancy that night and we were the only couple residing in this deserted resort.||The next day, when we requested the owner to help us change the room because of its poor condition, he outrightly refused any courtesy whatsoever. Please do see the pictures of the room which costed us 2700/night and were not allowed a change even when all the rooms were unoccupied.||The floor in the room has a cheap PVC sheet which is torn at more places than you can count. The washroom had no running hot water and toiletries and all accessories in the washroom were ill maintained.||It seemed that the sheets on the bed were not changed for weeks together and the table cloth on the center table was stinkingly dirty. Refer to the picture posted along side.||There were heaps of lizard poop lying on the window sit out while the room had 4-5 lizards inside to welcome us. The walls had a bad smell of seepage and were apparent dirty.||The rooms did not have a secure lock and key and we had to leave our room open with luggage which contained valuables in there while leaving for visit to city.||If you are not on your own wheels, this place is quite tricky to get a transportation to and from the city. The resort charges exorbitantly high price for a 15 km. pickup or drop. Their safari is priced in similar fashion wherein you will be charged 2500 for a round whereas if you access the main road you will find many safari operators offering the trip for as low as 800.||Overall, we had a terrible experience with this stay. While the staff was good, the owner had lot of arrogance and was unhospitable. The only good memory we take back from this trip is the cultural show in the evening which was quite well performed by the artist. Kudos to her!||You can safely avoid choosing this place if you were to travel to Bikaner. Thanks

It was wonderful stay with Umaid dessert camp. Luckily there was party day so whole of the camp was nicely decorated. We reached camp at noon but mr mange ram care taker served us decently. Evening joined great cultural dance program. Food quality was good and varieties of food especially Rajsthani food was delicious. Room were properly decorated with all required emanities. We were happy and satisfied with behaviour of shri Umesh ji. He had been very supportive during our tour. Thanks to everyone of this camp for making a memorable day.
