Sitamata Wildlife Retreat

We had a fantastic time at Sitamata. The secluded farm, stay and safari felt very personal and we felt very looked after by our host, Rishiraj. We stayed only for a night, but during that time we had amazing food morning, noon and night, and the room we stayed in had an amazing view of the farm and orchard. We did an afternoon jeep ride to see the orchard, watched the sun set over a nearby dam with a cup of chai, and then to see the giant flying squirrels in the evening. In the morning we also went out into the wildlife sanctuary and saw many animals! We didn't get the chance to see a leopard, but we were only there for the morning so we didn't have enough time. The jeep safari was private and the host took us around and told us all about the animals and birds. Overall we had an amazing time and highly recommend others to stay. We wish we could have stayed longer!

I stayed in this retreat with family and friends for two nights.The location is in the heart of nature, surrounded by lush green farms.We had a relaxing time and enjoyed high tea by dam site and lunch in the jungle.Dedication and personal touch of the owner was memorable.Still some of the facilities are in developing stage.It will be best place to relax after everything is in place.

Living close to nature was truly incredible. Waking up to the dawn chorus was unforgettable, and staying on a private farm with an orange orchard felt like paradise. Starting the day with freshly squeezed orange juice, strolling by the river next to the orchard, and walking through the misty farm in the morning made it a serene and refreshing experience.

Great experience at your farm stay. Your personal intervention is delightful and broad knowledge of the area enhanced our knowledge and pleasure. Cherry on the pie is your home grown vegetables and fruits instilled no doubt of freshness of food.

Sitamata is an amazing destination for bird and wildlife watching. Between the fields and woodlands, there are hundreds of species of birds, some pretty exotic. And other fauna too like crocodiles, leopards, flying squirrels, immense pythons...The only fauna we didnt see is leopards. Moreover, the accommodation, care, service, personalized attention, food were all excellent. The scenery is beautiful too with a dam close by that has gorgeous sunsets. Would highly recommend.

A must visit place. Calm, quiet and peaceful. Extraordinary views. Best place to escape city life and pollution and everyday life. Rishi uncle's come pany was great and informative. Got to know many new things through him and the forest. The staff was friendly and comfortable to be with. The hospitality was great. The good was delicious and healthy at the same time. Adventurous and thrilling place to be at. Had a wonderful experience. Made unforgettable memories. Looking forward to visit again soon.

We went there to celebrate birthday milestones for my daughter & grandma. A trip with 4 generations, our host Rishiraj made us feel like home. It's a true jungle experience and wild ride to Sitamata is an adventurous ride. This trip may not be complementary but it's worth it. Note : it's not for faint hearted or elderly so make your decisions wisely, the road is turbulent. We were lucky enough to see flying squirrel a rare sighting - a separate excursion. The experience in the jungle where you have a riverside lunch was something very special. Our host did a great job managing & catering to various needs and showed his flexibility. If you're coming in Monsoon be ready for insects & darkness as insects attract light. Dec seems to be the best time visit. Note : This is NOT a 4 or 5 star resort it's an old personal property, non commercial homely experience. If you want a customized friendly experience go for it be ready for brief power outage, but the property has inverter so you are not completely out of power. People are very friendly and always looking your feedback to make your experience unique.

Fantastic host, lovely food, great service and magnificent safaris. Lifetime memories were made. My new favourite wildlife excursion destination close to Udaipur.
