Dev Shree Deogarh

What a fabulous place. We are very familiar with travel to India. Devshree was superb,a wonderful warm family. We stayed 6 nights and did not want to leave. You must stay more than 1 night to experience true Indian hospitality. You relax immediately, the staff,all of the family are truly lovely people. |The pool area is relaxing, the gardens tranquil over looking the lake. The rooms were well equipped comfy beds.|The food was wonderful nothing was too much trouble. Walking into the village was easy and without hassel. There is plenty to do in the area. Train ride,temple visit,evening jeep and sundowner maybe even the elusive leopard sighting! School visits , so much is available you only have to ask.This visit truley gets you to the heart of India. |Thank you to Whole of the family. Sorry this is a late post.

We had such a pleasant and amazing stay at this place! It is a beautiful, very well maintained resort that feels like an oasis. The owners and their staff are very welcoming and accommodating hosts who fulfilled all of our wishes. Our highlight was the safari tour through the beautiful surroundings. It truly felt more like a home than a hotel!

Just spent two delightful days at Dev Shree. The owners and their sons are charming and warmly welcome you to their home and make you feel instantly relaxed. |It is located just on the edge of a small town and you can take a guided walk round the old city. Amongst the other activities we did the rural train ride and the evening jeep safari complete with sundowners and if lucky then a sighting of a leopard or two. |The food is plentiful and tasty and it was lovely to eat with the other guests and the family in their lovely home. |Would definitely recommend a stay there whilst touring Rajasthan!

Amazing stay at this palace hotel which doubles as the home of our hosts Shatrunjai & Bhavinda and their two sons who are all Rajasthan royal family. We were lucky to be the only two guests staying and had one of the largest rooms we have ever stayed in. Nothing was too much trouble for them and their staff. We stayed on a full board basis and all our meals were excellent as was their company of an evening and we were made to feel very much part of the family. The palace hotel is beautiful as were the grounds and views over the lake with shady veranda and pool area. We appreciated the evening courtyard log fire and drinks under the stars plus the hot water bottles (this was winter time) ! ||We would totally recommend the massages and reflexology from their resident local guide and fitness guy who also took us on a walk around the lake and lovely local village centre. |Absolutely our best stay in Rajasthan, we loved it. We just departed this elegant lodging, where we were welcomed warmly by the lovely couple who own it and served conscientiously by the staff. Built in 2014, the beautiful estate has the appearance and ambiance of a princely house from an earlier generation. Our suite was large and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed massages, a local train ride, and the evening safari. Drinks in the courtyard before dinner around a fire provided an opportunity to visit with our gracious hosts and other guests. The same is true of the delicious meals we enjoyed at breakfast, lunch, and dinner at shared tables. The cuisine was flavorful and well presented and seasoned. In addition to local and regional dishes, western options were available at breakfast. We regretted leaving this superb property and would be pleased to return. Do not the miss the opportunity to enjoy such fine hospitality and service. We left refreshed and with warm memories.

A warm welcome from the owner Bhavna and her two delightful sons. Fabulous house beside lake, delicious meals taken either outside in the garden or in their grand dining room. All guests eat together maintaining a family feel. Sunset safari worth doing with the two sons who have extensive knowledge of the bird life. Overall, a wonderful three days where nothing we asked for was too much trouble . We can highly recommend for R and R after the hustle and bustle of Jaipur and Jodpur.

The most wonderful warm place - great hospitality and so relaxing. For a little family it was absolutely perfect. Thank you to the family for going out their way to make sure we had the best time. Be sure to do the train ride - it was a sweet way to introduce the kids to the Indian railways

A delightful place, where you are personally hosted by the resident family, as well as their excellent staff. The hotel is beautifully decorated & clean & the lakeside grounds are carefully tended. |Dining is a communal experience with the host family & other guests. They were good at entertaining.|There's a small swimming pool & massages & haircuts are offered, as well as yoga at dawn... I was watched by peace & a grey hornbill as I did this.|A particular highlight was the evening safari drive, firstly seeing birds ( including a kingfisher), monkeys & water buffalo, then drinks at sunset by a lake, and then after dark we actually saw some leopards.|Quite special
