Amazing experience of beautiful landscape and amazing meal for the lunch. I stayed in the property for two days and it was truly home atmosphere with some lovely non veg recipes. I would like to propose each of the people exploring Bundi to visit this hotel for stay.

The guesthouse itself is beautiful in a very old haveli with a nice rooftop with views of the city, the palace and the fort. Our room was very spacious and clean. The food is excellent and all home made. Particular mention for the omelette which I will miss having for breakfast. But what really made our stay memorable and maybe our best guesthouse experience in 3 months in India was the warm welcome from chintu, shashi and their whole family. We almost felt like a part of the family for a few days and they even invited us to their niece s birthday on the last night! Really special people in a wonderful city!
My wife and I stayed for 2 nights in Bundi at Hadee Rani Guesthouse. We were traveling on a tight budget so we opted for the little room near the entry. The room was not big and a bit hot (in June) but it was cheap and cute so we were happy with it. Sashi and her husband were really nice to us. They offer a lot of services if you are interested, such as food, food courses, help with purchasing stuff, etc. Other reviews are mentionning some pressure to "consumption" from the owners, I get what they mean but I think that they are rather enthusiastic. If you clearly state than you are not interested, they won't bother you with it, so do not worry about this. This is a true family guesthouse, so yes, you will end up talking and sharing with them, this is quite the spirit of it and it is fine this way. We liked the experience and when we tried Sashi's food, we loved it. As many others have already said, the Cheese Naan is worth trying! We had a Pumpkin Curry and Vegetable Curry and it was one of most outstanding indian food we got to taste during 1 month eating only indian food. So ... good food, good hosting, real good prices, nice people, this is pretty much it!||Now, here is some logistic information for backpackers like us ... If you get to Bundi by train, there is about 4 km between the railway station and this guesthouse (that is pretty central in Bundi, so kudos for the location). We were able to get a rickshaw ride for Rs 10, but this is worth Rs 40-50. You can still walk if you want to save some rupies. If you need to get out of Bundi by bus - it is not well indicated on google maps nor Google itself, but the bus station is located around 700 m : walk down Sadar Bazar and continue a bit on Kota road, you will find it. You can take a bus to Jaipur (Rs 215 and 30 % reduction for women) or Kota from there, every 30 minutes or so; you pay the ticket on the bus.
We didn't actually stay at the Hadee Rani, but spent a most unusual Christmas evening with Sashi and Chintu. Our sons' festive gift was a cooking lesson with Sashi who enthusiastically walked us through four or five of her recipes in her well-organised authentic home kitchen. 90 minutes later we had produced a delicious meal that will go down as one of the most memorable Christmas meals of my life. The family had put up decorations around their roof-top dining room and made us feel as though we were in our own home.||Next time we visit Bundi, this is where we will stay!
We only stumbled across this place whilst walking down the streets of Bundi feeling absolutely starving and rather weak from a long hot journey! The pretty blue painted archway looked rather inviting, and I am so so glad we decided to pop in! We already had a hotel so just tried the restaurant. Shashi was instantly welcoming, warm and friendly and made us feel like guests in her home rather than customers. We had a potato curry, vegetable rice, a cheese naan and an omelette. Everything was cooked from scratch and we sat and waited for it whilst taking in the lovely views of the town and mountains on the roof terrace, drinking delicious mango shakes! The food was delicious, super fresh, home cooked, and just perfect! We felt so much better after eating it! We were cured of our holiday illnesses ! The price was very reasonable, and we even had henna done on our hands after eating! It was great! The next day shashi even took us out shopping to her favourite jewellery shops, helping to get us a better price which was so great of her! We even got a free motorbike ride with chintu! Over all a wonderful, homely, family, friendly experience, we popped in for a snack that turned into two days of wonderful welcoming hospitality! Would highly recommend!,, fabulous, beautiful and lovely!! Alice and Amy , London
If you are looking for a nice family guest house, this is the place! Chintu, Shashi and their family are very nice and friendly. We felt like at home. Shashi is a very good cook and she also make her own homemade mix spices! They will help you for everything and also take care of you...||The family room and double rooms are very nice, simple, also and you feel actually really like at a friend's house, typical haveli from Bundi, this is not a hostel! Family means humans, means links and exchange between them, remember that they welcome you at their HOME. ||If you are looking for a quiet place, please don't come visit India :D ||If you want to create real link with your hosts and exchange something with locals instead of staying in a impersonal hostel, go to Hadi Rani Haveli! ||If they propose you a lot, it's because they want you to have great memories from Bundi. ||And also remember they have a business to run, what would you do as a guest house owner in your country? If you don't want something, just say no, they will understand and there is no problem with that... ||I considere Chintu and Shashi as friends today.||They are great, seriously. ||We will come back||...
We stayed with Chintu and his family in December with our two children, and this was easily the best place we stayed at in India. We had a room for ourselves with an attached room for our two children, and a bathroom. The guesthouse is an old haveli so it has real character and is lovely and quiet, and CLEAN! Food is available (and the big pots of tea are to be recommended). When we left, our children were given little gifts - and my daughter has worn hers ever since. Would thoroughly recommend this place!
What a pleasure to stay a week in a historic building (16th Century) for a low price. The family is great, the food tasty, and the view from the roof is unmatched. Just stumbled upon it after departing a night train and got lucky. Make sure you take one of their many sticks if you go on the roof. It deters the aggressive roof monkeys
