OYO Hotel Lakshya Palace

Owner and staff are very welcoming and helpful people. Food prepared here is excellent. There were a few small issues in the room which were addressed by the staff. Credit cards are not accepted here but Paytm is. The cycle rickshaw drivers arranged by the owner were also good for bharatpur bird photography.

Had the choice of two rooms, one was decent the other small, so I took the corner room. Once inside, the Ais condition did not work. So over to the smaller room. Look into the bathroom, not even Indian clean with unflushed diarrhea leftover in the toilet. Told the staff who flushed the toilet and said "Now it's clean" ||As we wanted to go to the bird sanctuary we stayed anyhow. ||Then no Wifi - will work tonight. One of the managers got me connected through his phone after I said, that I needed to go to a restaurant with Wifi as I needed to call my sister in Germany (her birthday). ||Back in the room with very loud AC we tried to switch in TV which did not work. "Will get different receiver" was the answer tow hours later still nothing done about that.

Lakshya Palace hotel at Bhartapur is a budget hotel. This is a good hotel to stay for those who are vising for Bird watching at Keoladeo National Park. It is about 6 KMs from the entrance of the national park. They know the requirement of such visitors. They provide bed tea at 5.45 AM, send packed lunch to the park etc so that you will not loose valuable biding time. ||||Hot water is available. The food is very good, tasty and served hot. The rooms have all basic facilities, TV phone etc and neat. Probably you may have to ask fresh bed sheet which they will provide immediately, not very sophisticated staff, but sincere and service minded

Fortunately my trip was for a single day. ||||This has to be my worst experience till date. ||The only good thing about the hotel was the food. ||otherwise, the room had no power overnight, no water in the washroom(It was later supplied in buckets).||||The toilet flush was not working, the washroom was so smelly that if you left the door open the whole room would become gas chamber in no time.||||This was a complete embarrassment to say the least.

Very bad experience. In case of power cut, no power bacup available. You have to depend upon you mobile flash light . Staff are very careless, they don't bother whether water available or not in the bath room

This property is good if you are looking for budget hotel. You get all the basic facilities in much reasonable price. The staff is also very courteous and would try to comfort every possible way possible. Dont expect royal treatment but a descent stay i would say. Happy stay!

This is the worst place I have ever been to in India. Bharatpur has nothing to offer for tourists except for the Bird Sanctuary and for me that's also boring and this place was even worse! The sheets were dirty, a lizard was in the room "thanks god I didn't see it till I was about to check out" the food was horrible not to mention that the tv went down and they had some signal problems! In terms of the location, nothing interested around it, went for a walk to discover and fine anything to do, and came back 15 minutes later!

A budget trip comes with a lot of levelheadedness to begin with. One is clear on what to expect when it comes to ambience, amenities and service. And yet, this should be your last choice when it booking a budget hotel.||||Good things - Near to the national park - about 10 mins of drive; helpful staff - gave us extra blanket and pillows.||||Not so good things - Room lighting makes all the difference and less/dull lighting is an immediate mood dampner (nothing to do with a budget hotel); less / small space gives a feeling of being locked in the room esp. with no windows; Unfinished almirah - bare plywood stops you from opening the luggage; rusted taps and shower; no hot water in washbasin; poor food preparation and - no WiFi. To me, none of the above are beyond a budget hotel's ambit. And this was classified as a deluxe room on the travel portal.
