Iora Guest House

This guesthouse is a very nice and cosy place. The rooms are basic, but everything you need and also a good shower. The owner helps you with everything. He arranged our bus tickets and even dropped us at the (invisible...) bus stand. The rooftop is also nice to sit and relax and enjoy local life, a beer and the sunset. Iora guest house is very close to the bird park. We went there one day with a guide and the other day we went by ourself on bikes (from Iora). The food is also good. If you go to Bharatpur, then stay at Iora !

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Iora. It is one of a kind homely place where Mr Devendra Singh, the owner took care of us like a family. The meals were customised to what we wanted, he planned for the e rickshaw and the naturalist who accompanied us to the bird sanctuary, (they were really good). He was always available at the property and briefed us very well of what to expect. He loaned us his cycle to go to the bird sanctuary which is very close to the property. All in all we had a very peaceful n homely vacation at Bharatpur and a lot and are grateful to Mr Devender..... The honesty, the pace n the culture of Iora n Bharatpur was like a beath of fresh air! Thank you for hosting us, we will recommend Iora.

Iora Guest House in Bharatpur is a paradise managed so well by Mr Devendra Singh himself, a birder, wildlife photographer and property owner. A stay over here is really meaningful and essential if one is seriously interested in birds. His friends and associates like Narendra and others are much of help in guiding one a day in the ghana. Excellent food, modest and clean rooms, washrooms and cheap rates make the place so lucrative. Meeting a galaxy of photographers in this guest house is another point attraction for any birder or wildlife enthusiast. Those who are looking for a regular visit once in a year.....Iora Guest is a safe and obvious haven for them.

Best place I've stayed at in India till now, and the price is even decent! Rooms are clean, bed is good and the shower even has curtains! Would definetly come back here.

A birding trip to Bharatpur was organised by someone we knew, who regularly stayed at Iora. The stay is simple and neat, with well maintained rooms. ||The manager and his staff are also very obliging. The food is also simple, but ample.|We all loved the Amul curds the most and had lots of servings. There is rice, dal, rotis, sabsi, and dessert.||The place is close to the sanctuary, but not walkable with equipment. Definitely need a tuk tuk.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. It is at a walking distance from bus stop on highway in Bharatpur as well as from bird sanctuary you will be visiting. Rooms are neat and clean, food is homely. The host is expert in bird watching and will show you incoming flock of birds from his rooftop while he waters his plants. You will network with wide range of individuals who share similar interests. In the reception room you will get to see photographs taken by Mr.Devendra ji. There are books magazines surrounding nature related topics. They have their own bicycles which are better than the ones offered by national park. You can rent them if you have booked a stay. You will see that every minute detail which will improvise traveller's experience here is taken care of. The only problem when I asked them for next trip was they are sold out. Plan in advance as they have many repeat customers.

For the price - it is phenomenal value. Really helpful service and solid food options for each meal. The help with the bikes and the guide for the park was amazing. I would 100% return.
