I stayed in Hotel Alwar for an official trip. While I was told about Hotel Meenal as it was one of the most famous ones, I decided to check out on my own and zeroed on this property. A first class experience in the rustic city of Alwar is what I would describe my stay to be. It was an extremely relaxing stay, although official and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. Also, got a chance to read a few pages from the English version of Bhagwad Gita that was in the room.

I have returned to the Alwar on a few occasions and each time have not been let down.||||In addition to comfortable rooms and first rate food, the attitude of the staff is wonderful. I am always responded to instantly and nothing seems to be too much trouble. ||||The size of the rooms is also worth mentioning - they're enormous (at least the ones I've stayed in always have been).||||Overall, recommended.
We arrived at about 8.0pm at this hotel having booked our rooms earlier on in the day. The staff were sloppy and seemed unaware of how to greet guests. We were eventually taken to our rooms where our friends found their bathroom to be like a building site! The water had obviously not been run for months as it came out of the taps a mustard colour and we had to wait for the water to heat up. The rooms were airy and not unclean but the whole place was a disaster. The owner was living there but was certainly not keeping his place shipshape. Not a great choice of hotels in this area and little work would have been needed to make the place sparkle. Next door is now a building site so maybe the owner has lost interest.
Very very clean rooms with nice furniture and good sitting area as the rooms are very large. Food is great and even when I had a problem (one dish was a bit cold) the staff were very helpful immediately fixing the problem with extreme kindness. Garden was very peaceful for sitting and topped off a good stay.
Date of stay: October 2012||||Pros: ||- This is in a quite neighbourhood.||- The room was very spacious and there was a separate dining area and sleeping area.||- They made meals on order and it was close to home-made food.||- The owner was exptremely helpful in attending to our needs, arranging our transport etc.||- The tariff is quite reasonable.||- Room and bathroom were very clean and bathroom is quite large as well.||||Cons:||- There is only one I can think of. Since this is located in a quiet neighbourhood, it is not easy to find transport when you get out. There is no convinient auto-stand or eateries (for example) at a walking distance. But the lotel staff will call in a auto-ricksaw/taxi for you.
Great rooms with best Room service. |Rooms was neat and clean. |Food taste was average but there was many options available for food near hotel . |Hotel staff was also helping in nature with jolly nature.
This hotel is situated in the mid of the Alwar. All types of rooms are available there. The taste of food was good and rates was reasonable. There is main market also available. Services are also good.
It was a nice experience...room was tidy and spacious..only bad thing was that the bed covers were too old...otherwise for 1 night stay its a good option...as excursion and visits were the priority not staying at the hotel...staffs were good and courteous
