A fantastic choice for a relaxing escape from the city!

When we arrived at the given address, we had trouble finding the resort because there were no road signs to guide us. We arrived around 02.00 AM because on Booking.com it said they had a 24 hour reception (we even contacted them several times, but without reply). However, the place was fully closed. Luckily we could wake someone up to guide us to our rooms (2 separate rooms), but instead we were directed to a different room (single room with a sleeping couch instead of normal bed). Due to the lack of communication and the fuss of this first night, we started our stay with a huge disappointment. The next day we tried to arrange a compensation, but the one thing we asked, a fair discount, could only be granted at a laughable amount. Again a disappointment. Eventually we got to an agreement, but after checkout they did not hold up their end of the bargain. Disappointment nr. 3. However, we do have to say that they tried to do everything else in their power to make our stay a comfortable one. They upgraded one of our initial rooms and gave us an extra if we wanted. The food was amazing, the rooms were clean and the property was absolutely beautiful. So in the end we feel like our stay has been a bit of a disappointment mainly due to the lack of communication. If we knew in advance that we could not check-in at any hour of the day, we would have found a solution for our late arrival time. This was the start of our problems. Had we gotten the right information, the whole problem would have been avoided.

A Hidden Gem in Mount Abu - Highly Recommend! Hey everyone! Just got back from Far Out Field Resort in Mount Abu and I've got to share this find with you. If you're looking to escape the usual tourist spots, this is the place. It's about 6 km from town - close enough to visit Nakki Lake, but far enough to feel like you're in your own little world. We stayed in a deluxe room, and it was super clean and comfy. The best part? It's pet-friendly! Our Shih Tzu girl had the time of her life exploring the green spaces. What really made our stay special was the staff. They're all locals and they take care of you with this genuine, personal touch that you don't often find. Special shoutout to Ratan ji and Prashant ji - these guys are wonderful hosts who go above and beyond. Ratan ji took us on an incredible trek in the surrounding hills. We ended up watching a breathtaking sunset from a cliff overlooking a beautiful valley. It's worth mentioning that there are genuine jungles around with leopards, wild boars, and other wild animals (though we were probably too noisy and scared them all away for miles!). Food-wise, they've got you covered. Mostly veg, but they'll make non-veg if you ask. Don't miss their Rajasthani dishes - they're really awesome. I've got to mention Naman ji, one of the entrepreneurs driving this new resort. He's got some big plans for Far Out Fields, and I'm excited to see where he takes it. Wishing him all the best on this journey! If you want a chill place to relax with family or friends, away from the tourist crowds, give Far Out Field Resort a try. It's not fancy, but it's comfortable, peaceful, and offers some amazing experiences. We're already planning our next visit. Trust me, you won't regret it!
