If budget is your only criteria, then stay here. Old furniture, worn out upholstery...i would not recommend staying with family..if you are looking for a place just to crash for the night, then go for it.

I stayed in Hotel Godwin, Patiala on 2 occasions for 2-3 days. The hotel is easily accessible from the Patiala railway station and bus station by rickshaw or auto.||The hotel is in the street hardly 50 meters from the main road but can be located easily with the signboards. The formalities at the reception took reasonable time. I stayed at the room right at the reception and to avoid the sounds of the continuous buzz of the front office, I chose to stay at the second floor.||Staff behavior - Would rate them as good as they were helpful during my stay.||Rooms were clean on both occasions including bed and bath linens. The hotel has an old time feel to its looks(which I personally love). ||Food quality was also very good and it was served steaming hot on all occasions. I felt that the quality of food and options for the complimentary breakfast could definitely be looked in to.||Overall recommendation: For short trips to Patiala, both persona or work, it's a good choice for comfortable stay within budget.

Hotel is bit average. Rooms have plenty of space but I still dont get the idea of how the bathrooms in this hotel are structured. ACs in some of the room are in bad condition and it takes much longer time to cool up the room. Outside food is not allowed in this hotel. Staff is friendly and some basic facilities like iron, refrigerator is present on every floor.

Worst experience. Lack of cleanliness and the ac in the room was not working. After many complaints the staff tried to turn on the ac but didnt work. Somehow managed with the ac but the fan in the room stopped because of no power supply. Had to spend whole night without fan and ac. Next morning the manager didnt even felt sorry for the poor hospitality and asked for the remaining balance to be paid. More money for the restless night. I suggest if you are booking this hotel do check fan ac and cleanliness of the room.

The most unique quality here is it's affordability. At 1000 Rs. This hotel is a steal deal today. But the food leaves a lot to be desired. There is some restrictions too like no alcohol or outside food. But overall good.
