Hotel Dixon

My stay at Hotel Dixon was excellent. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and well-maintained. The staff was incredibly polite and always ready to help, making the experience even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

This hotel has gone downhill since 2023. Back then, it was worth every penny--great prices, spotless rooms, and an overall fantastic experience. But in 2024, things took a nosedive. Their new policies are absurd. They won't let you do early check-in before 12 or 1 PM unless you cough up an extra 400-500 rupees. What kind of nonsense is that? They've also jacked up the price of water bottles to 40 rupees per liter. Really? If you're desperate to overcharge, at least have the decency to mention it clearly at reception. Previously, early check-ins (9-10 AM) were hassle-free if the room was ready, but now it's just a money-grab. Room cleanliness has also taken a hit, which is disappointing --and to make matters worse, some rooms even have cockroaches in them. As for the staff--most are polite and cooperative, but one particular receptionist (the shy guy who avoids eye contact) is an absolute disaster. He overcharges, gives lame excuses, and refuses any discount outright. The other staff, thankfully, are much better and sometimes offer reasonable discounts, but dealing with him is infuriating. The workers are still great--polite, efficient, and attentive--but that one receptionist ruins the experience. Once, this hotel was my go-to, but now, thanks to their ridiculous changes and declining service standards, I'd seriously consider staying elsewhere. Sure, they've got a prime location, spacious rooms, decent Wi-Fi, hot water, cable TV, and allow outside food, but none of that excuses their shady price hikes and declining quality. If management doesn't get their act together, they'll lose loyal customers for sure.

Staff was good and polite. Room was clean the one which we got on first floor. Delicious food is available just a 50mtrs walkable distance but this hotel definitely needs pest control service as I killed 15 cockroaches myself. What was disheartening that even Owner and Manager saw cockroaches they didn't ask or allot us another room; maybe all the rooms have the same problem and I really don't know how people give 5star to this hotel.
