The Kothi, village stay

The Kothi Village Stay is a wonderful place to experience lovely hospitality, a comfortable stay, warm homely food by caretaker and cook Vijay and house help Rani. Starting from room booking with the host Manpreet, the experience was hasslefree and payment done directly with the host. Nestled in a small village neighbourhood with friendly people. A good morning walk in the surrounding fields, a tractor ride and a visit to the nearby gur making place at the village was all worth the experience.

Thankyou for the amazing experience we had at The Kothi. We were happy with the warm welcome, accommodation, & food you provided us. |Even the activities you set up were perfect. Right from the sunset on the terrace, Bhangra Night, Nature walk, Tractor ride, Lunch in the fields, Kite flying and ending both the days with bonfire. We even loved the variety of cuisine, Vijay made for us. We all appreciated & enjoyed everything. We will surely visit soon.

The Kothi is tucked away in a hamlet, 2 hours away from Amritsar. It was surrounded by fields of mustard, sugarcane, orange (kinoo) etc and is a family home with a huge courtyard with a fire pit and garden. Rooms are comfortable and food is absolutely lip smacking. The hosts are wonderful and we felt like family at the end of our two nights trip. We went on long walks along the canal in misty mornings, had a picnic lunch in the feilds after wich we fell asleep in the hammock soaking in the winter sun and later in the evening chatted under the starlit skies as the bonfire kept us warm. The place has warmth, character and is all heart.

I had an amazing homestay experience at the Kothi! I received such a warm welcome. The home is beautiful, with many nice details, and my room was very comfortable. The food is fantastic. I was so lucky to visit during Diwali. I loved seeing all the preparations at the home and in the village. It's a nice peaceful place to walk around too. Very good for relaxation. Thank you!

I was lucky to come on Diwali festival and had a great experience of celebrating this beautiful holiday. The place is really beautiful - traditional house with a big patio where we lighten the candles. The food is great. And the possibility to try making local food was great experience for me. Preet is an amazing host. She took care of me like I was a family member.|The room is big and comfortable. I totally recommend it.|

Our stay at Kothi was all kinds of awesome. The room was wonderfully done up and cozy and the hospitality made us feel so much at home. The chef Vijay along with the helper Rani made the most amazing Punjabi meals and chai, with a smile all along! The cherry on top were the village experiences like the tractor ride, the fruit picking from the orchard and eating sugarcane right in the field! This is a very cute little place that is sure to leave you with happy memories :) Thanks to Preethi for taking great care of us!

The place is beautiful. It's traditional and comfortable. Despite being a large house it's very homely. The food is great. The caretakers of the property are easy going and friendly people. Lots of places to stroll if you want the local village experience. I totally recommend it.

Had a lovely experience. The ambience, food, the rooms and their adorable dogs totally made the trip worthwhile. Will definitely plan a stay at The Kothi again. That extra home touch by the host made it special.
