I've booked stays with Oyo several dozen times, but this has been my worst experience by a huge margin. I arrived early, before check-in time, at around 6 am. Was more than willing to relax in the lobby, till 11 am. However, they allowed me to check-in early without any questions raised. Around 2 hours later, the guy from the front desk shows up and tries to barge into the room without knocking. He then tells me that the Manager says that there has been a misunderstanding and that such an early check-in for free is unacceptable and demands an additional 500 rupees. The room itself cost me only 800. I was taken aback, and told them that this should've been mentioned earlier, and not post check-in. The customer should not be harassed because of their mistake. Nevertheless, I reluctantly told them that I'd be willing to pay them 200 rupees more, which they agreed to. Room cleaning had not been carried out after the previous guest. We also lost electricity for almost 2 hours, the hotel had no inverter or any other facility for backup. I could hear all the other guests furiously yelling at the staff all morning. At the time of checkout, they began demanding me to give them a good rating in front of them. That is highly unusual. I refused, and informed them that ratings are meant to be confidential and that they can't force me to rate them as per what they want. They then began demanding me to pay 300 rupees more (balance of the 500 requested initially), accusing me of being non cooperative. They (3 of them) followed me out of the hotel, onto the street and continued hounding me all the way to the cab, trying to intimidate me. I was half expecting them to get violent/physical in order to get their way, and even had to threaten to call the cops. The Ola Driver, who noticed what was transpiring was also completely shocked. Take my advice, avoid this hotel and save yourself some unnecessary mental agony.

It's an okayish place to stay. Some points to keep in mind during your visit: 1. The location is not that great. It's on the last lane of a congested and industrial kind of area. Reminds me of the inner lanes of Old Delhi. 2. The establishment is relatively newer than the ones beside. 3. The staff is courteous, and service is reliable. 4. The water is served is used plastic water bottles. 5. The cleanliness is questionable. Not much attention is paid to the cleanliness, and seemed sloppy. Pay attention to the sheets, the pillows, the bathroom, the rug, and bring it to the notice of the caretakers asap. 6. Some rooms don't have locks, and although the caretakers assured me of the safety, and said they'd personally keep a lookout of my stuff, which they did, but it did not inspire confidence. 7. Hotel stay ledgers are not updated properly. Take care that your stay is recorded in the ledgers, or else the entire money goes into the caretakers pocket. I extended my stay, and I saw no updation on the ledgers. 8. If you extend your stay, after 12pm if you wanna checkout, you have to pay the entire day amount. Bargaining doesn't work here, and the entire amount seemingly goes into he caretakers pocket. 9. The staff consists of easy going and lively people, but the are loud at night with their partying or something, and it's a bit disturbing to say the least, especially since they occupy the rooms empty for the day. 10. There are some late and early check-ins which will test your patience with the noise, especially since the walls are super thin, and every sound is audible both ways. 11. The walls are super think, so beware of your activities. Try to muffle the sounds.

The experience with this property was pathetic. firstly oyo accepted my booking payment but when i reached at property. receptionist said that the rooms are full . then they told me to book again but now in offline mode. so i again pay 900 for non AC , to them , after pre-book at the oyo application. at 3 AM mid night , the electricity was gone. there is no facility of inverter. like it was suffocating in the room .

Ridicules experince and Oyo also is cheated us .. when we reach the property the manager said we can't book hotel below 1000 and we later booked @568/- as per show in website .. What my foult --? First Manager said We can't Hv room after showing my confirmation Second he say we can get room below 1000 And third he said we can't get money from Oyo/booking .com As we paid twice the mommy tried discussion with your helpline but. 1. I booked the room and changed because OYO were not able to sort out the issue with the partner hotel. 2. When I reached the replacement hotel, I came to know that there was not any room available. 3. I still not get the refund. 4. Same the Hotel GM residency did, if the rating would be in minus. I prefer to choose that one.

It's almost in the industrial area so the surroundings are not as pleasing. But you can get lot of restaurants and a whole market on the walking distance, so that's a plus point. The interior of the hotel is great, the rooms are spacious and beautifully built. Even the service is great. We ordered dinner at room from their in-house menu, and it turned out to be great. We ordered a Biryani and the quantity was good enough to fill up two people, it came along with a huge bowl of raita and salad. Overall it was a great experience to stay over here, no minus points.

Rooms were clean and sanitary. COVID regulations were strictly followed. Hot water was available at all times. The general ambience was great! Overall, it is one of best hotels in Chandigarh in the price range. Would certainly recommend!
