Hk Backpackers Hostel-Luxury Dormitory

Worst place. Please never book this if you have a decent budget. It does not look like pictures. It's an old, worn and outdated place, at a highly trafficked road. Washroom are worn, bedsheets are dirty. Even if you will tell them 10 times before arriving that please clean everything, they won't do anything and ask you for money if you don't want to live here. I don't know why they are charging this for this location. Even if you cannot afford good hotels, don't go for this.

I recently stayed at Hotel Sallow International which is part of HK Backpackers also in Amritsar and was deeply dissatisfied with the experience. The overall service and room conditions were extremely poor, significantly impacting my trip. Firstly, the room's amenities were not up to the mark. The geyser, an essential in the cold weather, was not functioning during both days of my stay. Despite multiple requests, the issue was not resolved, which was a major inconvenience. Moreover, the behavior of the staff, particularly at the reception, was unprofessional. The receptionist's manner of speaking was rude and not in line with the hospitality standards one would expect from a reputed hotel. This lack of professionalism was not only disappointing but also added to the overall negative experience. Another striking issue was the failure of the hotel to provide services that were confirmed at the time of booking, a week prior to my stay. This breach of commitment is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the hotel's management and customer service. The cumulative effect of these issues severely impacted my trip to Amritsar. The basic expectation of comfort and professional service was not met, turning what should have been a pleasant stay into a series of frustrations. I strongly feel that potential guests should be aware of these shortcomings before considering a stay at Hotel Sallow International.

One of the worst hotel in my life I have saw . Please don't go there . Toilets are toooo badddd and there is no hot water and mobile network . Bed was filling like rock bed blankets are not washed too bad smelling blankets and pillows .

Not worth to stay... People at dormitory drink, smoke and it smells very bad overall. Best to avoid travelling solo or group

- Looks nothing like shown in pictures on Goibibo. - We were given room 110 which was very small. Washroom did not even have a place to stand. Uncleaned bedsheet. Smelly. No window. Do not take this room even if offered for free. - We had to argue and get our room changed. We saw couple of other people doing it so looked like a regular practice there. - Washroom was dirty. Broken and dirty commode. No jet spray. Shower was barely working. Tap was leaking whole night. No clean towels were provided. Used bedsheets. Washroom had used toiletries and dustbin was full of garbage from previous guest. - We asked for one tea which was served in a dirty tray. Few positives - Staff was reasonable enought to let us checkout late. - They kept out stuff safely with reception after checkout - At least they listened to our demand of getting the room changed in first place. - Dormitory washrooms appeared better

The hostel is clean, spacious, bright and cool in temperature. No bunk beds, with a great feel of private personal space. The staff are super friendly, helpful and went above and beyond to offer assistance. The location is next to the bus station, but its not loud in the sleeping area. Its less than 20 minutes walk to Golden temple and other tourist sites. Great value for money. I highly recommend this hostel.

Pathetic experience horrible staff owner is rude and have no sense to talk... not safe for women..... washroom was extremely dirty and Bedsheets were stinky... flush was not working..... washbasin was broken.... too many bedbugs were there fan was also very dirty and dusty we were not able to breath.... as they took money before only so I was not able to change.... please never go for this hotel.....

The owner of this hotel is so rude don't have manners to talk to ladies. The room was so pathetic when asked to clean the toilet he didn't respond. AC was also not working and he misbehaved with us. Not women friendly, unsafe and should not come here anytime in future.
