Puducherry Government Guest House

I recently stayed at the government guesthouse in Puducherry, and it was the worst experience I've ever had. From the moment I arrived, the staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. Their behavior lacked basic common sense, making the stay very unpleasant. The amenities were severely lacking. Despite being a basic necessity, hot water was not provided, which was incredibly inconvenient. The condition of the beds was deplorable--they were old, uncomfortable, and poorly maintained. It was impossible to get a good night's sleep on them. Overall, the lack of professionalism and the poor state of the facilities make this guesthouse a place I would strongly advise against. There are far better options available in Puducherry for a comfortable and respectful stay.

This was like crazy 1.even rooms were empty and staff didn't give rooms 2.they simply saying like rooms were filled 3.no bookings available in internet but they preferring to book on internet 4.irresponsible staff

It's an average govt guesthouse, the rooms were alr but the bathrooms are bareable. It's better to bring your own handwash because that isn't available, the bidet/jet spray doesn't work. And the pillow covers are torn. The AC compressor switch is faulty but overral it's suitable for a one day stay for emergencies in my opinion.

Yanam is a very beautiful place to visit once in a life time.

Puducherry Government Guest House more rooms are available and the design is a bit different from usual ones.Rooms are not available for everyone only for government officials only and are good for staying.

Affordable place to stay. Got AC room for 600. Cleanliness can be improved, but it is fine as they are charging decent price and we can adjust for that price range. The person who showed room to us is a very nice person as he didn't charged or asked for additional amount and provide room to us at the late night.

Price is cheap as for the quality of rooms maintained. Thy could do better. When I stayed there some repair work was carried out by some contractor with out even thinking as it it government property thy damaged the bathroom glass on purpose. Thy should maintain it better.

This Government guest house is probably one of the best we have stayed at. The rooms are clean and the location is great. There is parking in compound. It is well managed with all essentials close by. The benchmark for these guest houses are set in comparison to others we have stayed at in the UT of A&N And unlike the A&N the people here are amazingly forthcoming and accommodating. Definitely the first and best option around.
