Rambha Palace

A near-perfect stay. The property is gorgeous and oozes history and charm while offering modern luxuries. It's surprisingly big for a 8-room property, which gives it the sense of space of a large hotel while having the intimacy of a boutique hotel. The gardens are lovely. A short walk takes you to the Chilika Lake, the largest brackish water lagoon in Asia and second largest coastal lagoon in the world, covering an area of over 1,100 square kilometres. ||The rooms are outstanding - spacious, luxurious, and thoughtfully designed. The food was good, and one could request for pretty much anything one wanted to have. The staff are excellent - warm, friendly, prompt, helpful, available. And they went out of their way to make our special day feel even more special. ||A must do: the art class they offer. Doesn't sound very enticing, but the art instructor is very good and you'll be surprised with what he helps you create over a couple of days. Recommend an outing with the naturalist too, which they combine with a very nice high-tea.||Overall, can't recommend this enough. We went to explore a new region, but we'd go back just for Rambha Palace again.

We spent a memorable weekend at Rambha Palace to celebrate a milestone birthday, accompanied by senior family members. The staff went above and beyond to ensure the comfort, safety, and delight of everyone!||Special compliments to Basudev and Archana, our assigned butlers, whose care and attention to detail were simply outstanding. Their warmth and efficiency made us feel at home every moment.||You truly see the depth of hospitality when things don't go to plan. We were caught in a sudden storm in Chilka, but the staff ensured our safety with calm precision. They brought us to shore safely, knowing exactly what the elders needed--from warm wipes and herbal tea to a traditional mustard oil and garlic foot massage that left everyone comforted and cared for.||The rooms were spacious, accessible, and thoughtfully designed--a perfect blend of nostalgia and comfort. The heritage-inspired decor was a beautiful ode to Odia culture, without compromising on modern luxury. We loved that the entire common areas--from the piano room to the various living and dining spaces--were open for us to use and enjoy. We ended up dining in different sections across our stay, each adding its own charm.||The culinary team, led by Gaurav, was equally impressive. They created delicious meals that honored dietary needs without compromising on flavor--familiar Odia dishes presented in the most unique ways.||A huge thanks as well to Tabitha and the spa team, who thoughtfully customized treatments that left each of us refreshed and rejuvenated.||Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, care, and a touch of regal charm. We'll remember this weekend for a long time to come.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this beautiful hotel. The food was just superb. The rooms were beautiful and very comfortable. This place was just so elegant. It should get more visitors in the future. ||My only complaint is that they don't serve alcohol. The hotel simply doesn't have a liquor license.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Rambha Palace! The entire experience was filled with warmth and care from the moment we arrived. The palace itself is stunning, full of old-world charm, peaceful corners, and beautifully appointed rooms that offer both comfort and elegance. The spa was absolutely fantastic, so relaxing and rejuvenating. A very special mention to Madhu, who truly made our stay exceptional. He took care of us like family, checking in often, anticipating our needs before we even asked, and always making sure we were comfortable and happy. His ready smile, efficiency, and genuine hospitality stood out and made a lasting impression. Cinnawon and Rumana were both lovely too, always attentive. And Chef Gaurav was incredible! He was more than willing to accommodate any special requests we had, making every meal a delightful and personalized experience. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. A very warm welcome at the entrance, Attentive staff readily available to assist with requests, including personalized greetings, concierge services, and room service. Rooms are very elegant. Each room has its own specification. Huge pool table with all antique articles. Access to a well-equipped gym, spa treatments,swimming pool and sometimes even private transportation. special attention was chilka lake. What a lovely morning view, when we were there. Beautiful seagulls and flamingos were very close . In short it was amazing memories. Like to visit again with my kid's.

Each stone, arch, and intricate carving tells a story of the bygone era. The property has been lovingly preserved and blends historical grandeur with subtle contemporary touches. Walking through the hallways feels like a journey through time, with antique furniture, ornate decor, and carefully curated artifacts adding to the experience.||Food & Staff were good and courteous. Went on a boat ride spotted birds and dolphins in the lake. ||An experience which I will cherish in my life time.

We went to Rambha palace to celebrate my birthday with friends and it was a beautiful and memorable experience. |We were a group of 8 couples and had booked the palace suite, which were in a majestic palatial home like building having tastefully done up 8 suit with lots of common area connecting all the rooms, where we would meet up for chit chating , relaxing, playing games etc.|The property had gorgeous and well manicured lawns with lit fountains in the evening.|The service was brilliant with well trained staff who worked round the clock with a big smile always.|The food was delicious and they served us different cuisine for every meal and set up the table at different parts on the property. |Spa was rejuvenating and refreshing with brilliant staff.|Thank you Rambha Palace for making my birthday super special.

I was exploring off beat locations to stay and stumbled upon this gem. Location is extremely convenient 2 mins from main Kolkata - Chennai highway but once you enter the entire scene transforms. Located on shores of Chilika lakes the palace offers enough tours to keep you engaged and exciting for the time you stay. Once you are done with adventure come back and soak in their amazing pool and discuss your meal with chef (yes everything is customized and ingredients are sourced from their own garden). Entire staff is amazing, kudos to Manoj sir and his entire team, special mention to Vaasu for his energy and enthusiasm.
