OYO 1476 Hotel Gajapati

Giving 1 because I can't give 0 here We went in this hotel...on Sunday this week and we checked in a standard room (211) which we booked with enough cost to be a properly maintained room...but - the room was utterly disgusting like - if you have claustrophobia you might not be able to stay there even for a moment - lights were not working properly which even after the workers tried to fix it didn't got fixed - bathroom had 2 leakage which also didn't got fixed - it has no window no balcony - room didn't even had enough space to open you luggage - it also didn't had enough space to have your meals - so we went to the restaurant in the ground floor and any time you order something it took hours to provide that So after extreme disappointment we asked them if we can change to their delux room...but on that particular day it was fully book so we got it in the day after...and as we got in the room (501) with the extra cost of this adding to our bill... - we could clearly understand it was not properly maintained - full of sand and dust everywhere, even though it's their only room which had a little view of the beach from it's own balcony - the bed had sand particles all over it - even this part of the building had no elevator/ lift available If you actually want to enough you stay in puri...then stay away from this hotel and book elsewhere...every other day a new hotel is being constructed there..so do your research and book a nice one...or at least a "beach faced one" then whatever happens you'll at least be able to spend your time in the beach

I would prefer to mark them with zero (0) out of 5 star but unfortunately there is no option to do so. Anyway, this hotel's restuarant section is not at all recommended, pricing wise food quality is ok type but worse service & management. Restuarant staffs are not trained, they don't even have knowledge about their menu products. They took order by saying more quantity and when served came lower than said quantity. When asked about mismatch, they came with a sorry saying they were not aware of their own item quantity. Very important part, The wait time is about more than 1 hour without any crowd and zero que. They will take more than an hour to serve you food. So if anyone have lot of time to waste, can visit.

Hotel rooms are small in size and stinking all the time.. Locks are broken. Your safety is at your risk Wardrobe Woods have termite and cob webs spreaded everywhere. Ignorance to customer for breakfast.. no proper time followed. No mineral water availability in the room. Security guard demand extra cash from our driver.. Pathetic food .. serve tea in cup and they hv mindset to take few drops of leftover tea in kettle. Overall pathetic experience. Humble request pls give your family a peaceful experience..

A horror not a hotel. Worst place ever I have spent a night. A local contact booked the room for 1 night as we wanted to have darshan early morning before our flight back home. They charged Rs 4k for a room which was worse than a general railway waiting room. The beds were dirty. Linen was not changed after the previous occupants left. The curtains were filthy and didnot close properly.|The staff behaviour was outright rude. Their only policy is to fleece money out of the guests at every point. They claim checkout is 8 AM and if you are even 30 mins late, they literally will come to throw you out. However, when we had checked in at 5 PM the previous day they were not able to provide us a ready room with clean sheets and towels.|Scammers n Horror place.Stay away.

My recent stay at Gajapati Resort in Puri was nothing short of magical. From the moment I arrived, the staff greeted me with genuine warmth and efficiency, making check-in seamless. Perfectly situated just a short walk from the golden sands of Puri Beach and a 10-minute drive from the iconic Jagannath Temple, the resort strikes the ideal balance between serenity and convenience. Despite being close to the bustling beach area, my room was peacefully quiet--a rare treat! The best part is staffs went above and beyond to make my stay special. The front desk helped arrange a last-minute guided tour of the Jagannath Temple, their attention to detail, including a personalized welcome note made me feel like a valued guest.

Dining services are pathetic. Ground floor room has no geyser, bathroom has no exhaust fan. Dishonest manager overcharged than promised.

We are booked Stand Room . Standard Room was horrible. Then they upgraded us to Delux room due to low occupancy during my stay. Delux room (#103)also have leakage from the toilet ceiling. They don't provide Dental kit , shaving kit, wifi was not working in side the room. Made several complaints but they don't listen. They provide complimentary drinking water ( actually tap water) Restaurant menu are fixed. As a guest you have to follow their menu. If you book this hotel You have to compromise with them. We stayed in Gajapati in 2015 also. Drastically detoriated . Not good for family. Staff are good. They are polite . Management are not serious about their Guest. Booking throw MakeMyTrip.

We were staying near hotel gajapati. Dining at this place was horrible. Manager Laltu pal was so bad at managing things. Their staff arjun in front of me opened his shoes with his hand and later was seen cutting onion in kitchen. Hygiene is compromised a lot. Very dirty. and please the images attached. You will realise how much oil they use in curries. BAHOT BAHOT DIRTY AND UNHYGIENIC FOOD HAI HOTEL GAJAPATI KA. DONT STAY HERE. AND DONT DINE HERE. LALTU PAL IS ALSO VERY NON RESPONSIBLE PERSON. I TOLD HIM THE SITUATION , HE SAID SORRY AND TOLD ME I CANT DO ANYTHING ELSE.
