Hotel Shreehari

I would give **minus 5 stars if Google allowed it**, but sadly 1 star is the minimum. Just leaving this review to save someone else from this awful experience. Extremely disappointing experience at Shree Hari Hotel, Puri. We had an advance booking for 2 days costing 11,000, but the reality was far from what was promised. 1. We were assured a second-floor room over the phone, but upon arriving at 9 PM, we were given a first-floor room instead, with the excuse that it was an "upgrade"--clearly not the case. 2. Parking was another false promise. They claimed to offer free parking, but on arrival, it turned out to be road-side parking. When we raised concerns about security, we were told that CCTV is installed or use government parking for an extra charge. 3. The room was just above the restaurant. It was noisy, full of strong food smells, and the heat from the kitchen made the room extremely uncomfortable. When we complained, the manager simply said everything would stop after 11 PM--no concern for guest comfort. 4. The restaurant staff were rude and unaccommodating. We arrived a bit late and at exactly 10:29 PM, we were told to place our order within a minute or they wouldn't serve us. No flexibility, no basic hospitality. 5. Hot and cold water supply was unreliable throughout our stay. This hotel is absolutely not worth the money. For the same price, you can easily find much better hotels nearby with better service, facilities, and respectful staff. Don't be fooled by the pictures or false promises--avoid if you care about comfort and peace.

Room ok and service by room boys good, hotel location is also good. But complimentary breakfast fast not as per hotel standard and room tariff. Buffet arranged in a cellar , very pathetic area, no cleanliness, cups and plates very shabby, u will not even get mood to eat even complimentary breakfast. Need to improve in this area a lot.

Recently visited Puri and stayed in this property for 3 nights.. My overall view on this property is pretty disappointing.. The location is perfect and the sea view from the rooms are great too. However, the rooms are not at all well-maintained. I spent 3 nights there and there were multiple cockroaches inside the room - be it on the bed, inside the wardrobe or inside the bathroom. The walls have not been painted for long since there is dampness on it. Even some of the plug sockets have come off. For a property that charges 5K+ per night, this is utterly disappointing and needs serious attention. A premium hotel in a tourist-heavy place like Puri needs to pull up their socks and maintain their hotels rather than charging customers just for the sake of sea view.

My vacation was disappointing because of my stay at Hotel Sree Hari. The room was infested with cockroach. The tray with hot water kettle and cup had cockroaches. The hot water kettle was dirty.|They serve complimentary breakfast. But it seems they are doing a favour by serving complimentary breakfast. The quality of breakfast was poor. Not much options and the place where they serve the breakfast was dirty and very unkempt.|I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. To summarize it is not worth the money.

A perfect hotel in Puri if your purpose of the trip is to visit the holy shrine of Lord Jagannath at different hours of the day since the temple is 250 meters away from the temple. It is a pure veg with lots of options although not necessarily every item will be available always. The restaurant has flies and they must instal a fly catcher to make the experience better. Room was on the front with a big balcony overlooking the Grand Road which is ever busy. Over all very nice stay. Helpful staff all around.

Nice rooms ,excellent location,well behaved staff and good food.Had an excellent stay of 3 nights with my family this year in the month of February. Will definitely recommend this hotel to the tourists coming in Puri.A big Thumbs up to Hotel Shree Hari .

Pros : Clean rooms, Inhouse Restaurant food is good, Housekeeping staff is professional. Complementary snacks are a good gesture. Cons: Rates are very high, Rooms are small, washroom very cramped, Checkout time of 8 am is very inconvenient and they charge extra for delayed checkout. Complementary breakfast is very poor compared to hotel charges. Overall a decent hotel but overpriced compared to services. (blame the demand) . I would still recommend this Hotel compared to others in this area.
