Hotel Gandhara

We went there at night, there was no one at reception. A guy came, supposedly the owner, we haggled from 3k per night to 2.2k per night. We paid upfront for 2 nights. But then his attitude changed. Even for an extra pillow, he said he can't, while most of the rooms were empty. No water bottles, the swimming pool was unclean.

I recently stayed at Hotel Gandhara Puri in Odisha, and it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. The staff were unprofessional, rude, and seemed disinterested in helping guests. From check-in to check-out, their attitude was far from welcoming, and any request for assistance felt like a huge inconvenience to them. The ambience of the hotel was equally dismal. The atmosphere felt uninviting, with dim lighting and a lack of proper cleanliness throughout the premises. There was a constant unpleasant odor in the hallways, making the entire place feel neglected. As for the rooms, they were poorly maintained and far from comfortable. The bedding was stained, and the furniture looked worn-out and outdated. The bathroom was unhygienic, with faulty plumbing and dirty fixtures. Overall, the room did not offer a restful or relaxing stay. I would not recommend Hotel Gandhara Puri to anyone. It is overpriced for the subpar service and conditions offered, and I regret choosing this place for my stay. I checked out today only

I have been staying here for last 5-6 years but now Gandhara has been sold to a new businessman... So the look has changed..The peaceful ambiance and serenity has been lost...The swimming pool is dirty..No tea, no room service..Outsiders sitting near pool area |Sorry for Old world charm..|We will search for a new abode now

All staff very cooperative.specially Himanshu very very helpful, kind n hard worker. He gave us all time very good healthy service. We are very happy with him. I wud luv to visit again n again. N stay same place. He gave us all service at ocean location also. He arranged all facilities for all of us n also he made us do very nice Darsham of temple by arranging nice panda.

Please do not ever come here by looking at the restaurant. It's the worst place to have food with family. The food is not at all good and the waiters are the most rude people. For each and every additional thing it's added additional cost.

Herrendous experience! We went there for dinner. Although the place seems very beautiful the food is very horrific. Our food arrived 45-50 minutes after ordering. In taste the food wasn't great, they even managed to make the rice sweet. Moreover, they order take-outs and then serve you. Coming to the service, it wasn't the best. We had asked the waiter several times for certain food but they never listened and ignored us, in the end we had to get up to get our desirable stuff. Overall I'll say the place looks good but everything else other than that is terrific.

We were overall satisfied with our 3 night stay here during April 2023. Hotel location is good, it's on popular CT Road, with shops and eateries nearby. Auto and Toto available from early morning to late night. Sea beach is very close by, about 5 minutes walkable. The station is also not far. The hotel is overall decent, well maintained. They have a swimming pool, which is not very large but quite nice. You could also sit by the pool for casual chit chat or drinks. We found hotel service to be good and prompt. Also the restaurant is good. The food was good, with good portions. The food wasn't very spicy but tasty. The room wasn't that great though. It was pretty small, not very well ventilated and there were some minor cleanliness issues. But the later was resolved when we talked to the stuff. Some of the stuff members could have been a bit more courteous, but no major issues there. We got our booking within reasonable rates, so we found the stay overall value for money. NOTE: Breakfast is not free, at least not with every tariff, as mentioned in hotel details!

It was a heavy tourist season this time when we visited Puri. No good hotels were available. We found it average one, but good value for money. They are nicely located closer to beach, Jaganath temple and other temples of Puri. They are very close by Harry's Cafe which is 100% Pure Veg restaurants. Rooms were old and small. Overall stay was O.K.
