Bhanjanagar Dam Nature Camp

Our recent stay at the Bhanjanagar Dam Nature Camp was nothing short of delightful! We visited as a family, including our 2-year-old son, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience for all of us. The bamboo cottage we booked was spacious, well-maintained, and perfectly suited for a comfortable stay amidst nature. The scenic beauty around the camp was mesmerizing, with lush greenery and serene views of the dam. The staff at the camp deserve a special mention for their warm hospitality and attentiveness. They ensured that all our needs were taken care of with a smile. The food was another highlight of our trip--delicious, fresh, and satisfying, with a variety of options to please all taste buds. Our son had a great time exploring the surroundings, and it was heartwarming to see him enjoy so much. The camp provides a safe and relaxing environment, making it a perfect getaway for families. Overall, we had a memorable experience and would highly recommend the Bhanjanagar Dam Nature Camp to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat close to nature!

If you run out of options amongst nature camps in Odisha you might opt for this but it should be the last resort, the tents are spacious but bathrooms are ill-maintained , food is okayish , the surroundings are not that great, frequent power cuts are there but they have poor power back up, they don't provide mosquito nets, so if booking this then should be well prepared with all your own arrangements like a mosquito net, repellants and sprays, slippers, toiletries etc etc, to summarise just book another good nature camp well in advance to avoid booking this one as last option

Beautiful offbeat place of Odisha. It is situated at Bhanjanagar, almost 90 km from Brahmapur Station. You can hire car for reaching this place. The camp has six swis ac tent and a wooden ac cottage. If you spend your quality time in lap of nature, this place is for yours. Camp's garden is very beautiful. It is right next to the camp Bhanjanagar Reservoir surrounded by mountains. The sunrise leaping from the lap of that hill will blow your mind. The camp provide you to catching fishes from the reservoir. The evening chat will be filled with delicious food in an endless silence. You will feel the silence of the forest life. Sometimes the chirping of birds in the night wakes you up. In the dark of night you can go out on a jungle tour. Movements of nightjar birds, giant squirrels and foxes may catch your eye. If you are lucky enough to get up early in the morning, you may see the Gray Hornbill. Staff here Udayanath Babu's companionship is worth remembering. Her impeccable manners and exquisite cooking will keep you coming back.

Wonderful weekend destination. Good for couple of days family vacations. Wooden cottage is good, but in tent need more maintenance. Food quantity are good. Location is perfect. good staff behavior. Need more charging point for tent. Those days we use mobile and laptops more.

Very very good atmosphere. But maintenance of the surroundings can be better.

My stay at this forest-enclosed nature camp near the dam was a tranquil escape into the heart of nature. The highlight is the peaceful ambiance, with birds chirping and singing, all while surrounded by the enchanting forest. The beautiful dam view adds to the charm. It's a serene retreat from the city, and the delicious three-course meals make it a perfect getaway."

It was a really great experience staying at Bhanjanagar Dam Nature Camp. The staff were very helpful and humble. The location of camp is around 6 Kms from Bhanjanagar Bus Stand. Among all my Nature Camp stays, this one was the only one worth the amount paid. Food cooked by the host was very delicious and home like. Travel responsibly. Do not litter
