We stayed in this hotel during our recent business tour at Bhubaneswar. The property is situated at Ashok Nagar at a distance of around 2.5 km to the Bhubaneswar rail station. The rooms are moderately neat and clean and small as well. They have the basic amenities only. The Washroom geyser was non-functional in my room and was only managed by a bucket of hot water served in the morning. The staff members were extremely unprofessional and they don't know the right way to serve customers be it in terms of providing the complementary staff in the rooms or cleaning the room, laundry service or serving any food item. The restaurant is well decorated but the buffet breakfast has very little variety. They don't have fruits or juices which is very surprising for a hotel and its tariff! The reception and front area is well designed and also the roof top has a restaurant which looks nice in the evening. The property is good but the staff members need good training to treat the business travellers professionally!

Our Stay at The Hotel Shivalik, Bhubaneshwar was a beautiful experience.. the staff were so friendly greeted us with a smile and were very courteous . The tariff was very reasonable and the Hotel was no less than a 4 Star, the ambience and decor everything was perfect and the food was also amazing.

It was a pleasant stay. Staffs were polite. Room was clean. Just the bathroom was a bit small but apart from that everything was fine.

We recently stayed at The Shivalik Hotel in Bhubaneswar during our Odisha trip and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, and the staff was professional and courteous. The hospitality was outstanding, making our stay truly enjoyable. The on-site restaurant served delicious breakfast and lunch, with every dish tasting amazing. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and we highly recommend this hotel.

The food at the in-house restaurant was average--nothing remarkable, but it suffices for a casual meal. Overall, The Shivalik is an affordable place to stay if you're looking for a no-frills experience. While it may not offer luxury, it can serve its purpose for short stays or for travelers on a budget. Some improvements in cleanliness and service efficiency would certainly enhance the overall guest experience.

Parking is a major issue of this hotel. Then comes the rooms, the rooms were not very clean and spacious; Especially the bathroom. These people charge high prices for every food item (I mean at least that's what we ordered), where the texture, color, flavor, smell, authenticity of their food was not worth paying such high prices. The staff were in-experienced & unskilled except Mr. Verma & Mr. Karthik (at least they know how to deal with someone in a professional manner). Their interior design is good but not great; It's kind of old-fashioned. Since this hotel is located in the market area, forget about its peaceful ambience guys. The furnitures were not modern. I will definitely avoid staying here on my next holiday.
