Best Hostel in Wellington, 100%! After spending just over four months here, I can confidently say this is the best hostel in Wellington. It quickly became my second home, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. Exceptional Cleanliness and Comfort Every room is maintained in pristine condition, with daily cleaning, even on public holidays. The beds are extremely comfortable, making it easy to get a great night. Warm, Welcoming Atmosphere Wendy and Andrew, the hosts, create a friendly and inviting atmosphere, and they're always ready to share local tips or just have a friendly chat. Their presence really enhances the overall experience. Communal Areas Designed for Interaction The layout of the communal spaces is ideal for socializing. Being located right next to each other, these areas naturally encourage ongoing conversations and help forge lasting friendships. It's the perfect setup for travelers looking to connect with others. Prime Location Situated just a short walk from the city centre, the hostel offers an unbeatable location. This is one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at! It has a fantastic location within walking distance of the Botanic Garden. The rooms are comfortable, and the beds are incredibly cozy. The kitchen is well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals. I absolutely love the inviting living room, and the hostel as a whole has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Wendy and Andrew are the most wonderful hosts--truly kind and attentive. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Wellington!

Loved this place and kept extending my stay every morning. If you're looking for a really cosy home away from home, this is definitely somewhere you would want to stay. Wendy and Andrew are so nice and easy going, rooms are not big but fine, kitchen is massive and very well equiped, bathrooms are super cleaned and there's also an outdoor area. Located right in the middle of Wellington so perfect for a few days or long term stop!

I stayed here for 4 months over winter 2024 and it is still the best hostel I have stayed in! Wendy and Andy are so kind and will go above and beyond to help you out. It's a great location, awesome atmosphere and the rooms where spacious and beds were comfortable. The kitchen was great and had everything you needed, even a slow cooker! Would definitely recommend! Sorry it took me so long to write this guys, thanks again for all your help!

This hostel is amazing! It is clean and very central. The owners Wendy and Andrew are very lovely and kind. Would stay there every time I go to wellington. Thank you for making my time in Wellington so special. <3

I'm so happy to stay at this wonderful hostel. The hostel itself, the owners, the atmosphere and just everything is perfect. It feels like a home. I can only recommend it to everyone who wants to have a wonderful time in Wellington. But be careful - you might fall in love and want to stay forever!

Stayed here a while ago (April-June 2024) but forgot to make a review about this amazing hostel. BEST HOSTEL IN ALL OF NZ (maybe even the world??). Andrew and Wendy are top tier owners and hosts, listening to your opinions and needs and help as best as they can. They always keep the place clean and friendly. The atmosphere is amazing, every backpacker that comes here is always on their best behaviour. So easy to socialise and have fun. Also, the location is amazing, just 5 min to central wellington. All in all an amazing experience. Will come back in April 2025 for a return Ps. I moved out to a house next door. Andrew helped me with my car that broke down (this is 3 months after I moved out). They are the best!

Can't recommend this place enough. After staying in another hostel in Wellington which I hated I moved here and it immediately felt like a home away from home. The hosts were super welcoming and go out of their way for the comfort of the guests. It's close to the city, the facilities are good and everything is cleaned regularly. It has a real family feel to it and is definitely a place where you can make some amazing memories in Wellington! Thank you Andrew and Wendy!
