West Plaza Hotel

We had a great stay at the West Plaza Hotel. The staff were very helpful and made everything easy. The room was clean and had everything we needed. There was a jug, TV, heater, fridge, iron, and ironing board. There is also a restaurant downstairs and a bar area, which we didn't use but it was handy to have there. The location is very central, which was super convenient, and the price was excellent for what we got. Having parking available was a big bonus for us as well. Would definitely stay again. The only thing to be aware of is that Wakefield Street is currently one way. If you're following your GPS, as we did, it may try to send you down that street, which you can't do

Bathrooms have a weird setup but was fine. Room was clean. No air conditioning but fans and since we were here in March it was comfortable. Might rethink the choice in hot summer. A bit of noise since it is city center but I'm happy with starting here for three days as the location is top notch.

Need food? I recommend eating out among the many fine food places nearby. The queen bed is actually 2 single beds put together. My back was killing me after a few days there. The central location is a bonus tho to alternate food choices.

Spent a few days here with my partner. The room was ok but a bit too rusty for my liking. Location was fine, very central, and great for tourists. But one thing I disliked was the room was not very soundproof. Service was exceptional. The breakfast buffet was great! I'd like to squeeze in my compliment to Miss Celia for her phenomenal latte and wonderful attitude. However, would recommend.

Stayed 2 nights at the end of March, by happenstance during Cuba Dupa. Location is an easy walk anywhere. Super nice staff. Rooms (we booked 4) were clean, maybe a little dated but well-priced. We'd happily stay again.

When you go through the numerous fire stop doors to your room it's like arriving in the 1970'. Whilst the rooms are a decent size the decor and furnishings are bland and dated, even after an apparent update. My bed was very soft. The room noisy with water pip sounds and thin walls to my neighbours. Out of their hands, but deconstruction work over the road doesn't help with sound, dirty windows and dust.

Fantastic staff, very friendly and efficient going above and beyond to make our stay great. Room perhaps a little tired and on the small side for two adults and our granddaughter but perfectly workable. Great location with easy access to all amenities in the city.

Thank you so much to the crew. It was 10'o'clock at night when I got into town and found there had been a mistake with my booking at another hotel leaving me with nowhere to stay. Despite having the "no vacancy" sign out, The desk crew managed to find a room that was being held for an early booking tomorrow, and the cleaning crew started early to get another room ready for the early booking people. I will always be grateful. Good, big, clean rooms in a perfect downtown location, and very fairly priced. Faultless.
