Room is clean, pleasant and fit for purpose. Location is just by the fringe of CBD so it's decent. However I deducted some points as I was driving and 1) there are no secured car parks from the hotel 2) while there are ample open public car park which is free from 8-6am, we encounter something odd which is while walking back from dinner we noticed a bunch of kids checking out every car on the row in front of the hotel. I immediately felt unsafe and drove the car to a secured parking space. As the area is closed to bars and clubs, you may need to heighten your senses if you are staying here

Staff did a phenomenal job with accommodating a late arrival. I entered my room pleasantly surprised to see a welcome note, a chocolate and bottled water. The room was spacious and the decor was excellent quality. Location was great, and washer/dryer with detergent was an added bonus. Would definitely stay again.

4 x night stay with a very late check in however the instructions provided to access the room made it easy. ||Very comfortable and well appointed room with washing machine and dryer (and washing liquid!) ||The view from level 2 was over a large ground level street car park but this didn't matter as we were not in the room for very long. ||Perfectly placed location with a walk to almost any location in Wellington City. ||Quiet and comfortable - with the only suggestion being for a firmer bed but it was still nice to sleep on. |Breakfast downstairs of tea/coffee/ toast/ fruits and yogurt was perfect. |We will be back.

We are in room 503. We booked an executive one bedroom suite with a kitchenette, washer and dryer, expansive patio with a sliding glass door, and in walking distance to the waterfront, the New Zealand (Te Papa) Museum, and Beehive/Parliament House. Very satisfied with these amenities!||The most disappointing, frustrating, and upsetting issue we had was breakfast was offered at the time that I made the booking in January, 2025. Upon check-in, we were notified there was no longer any breakfast offered. There should have been notification sent to me prior to my arrival, at the time they decided to do away with the breakfast. I feel there should have been some sort of compensation, at least five dollars a day taken off the cost of the room, since they decided to cancel the breakfast offering.||The other issue is trying to find a spot to put your luggage. As this is an extensive trip for us, we had four pieces of luggage and every one of them is in the living room.

Hands down the best bang for your buck hotel I stayed in during my trip to New Zealand. This was our mid-trip spoil. I booked the studio and it was just the best! They had laundry detergent, nice bath products and kitchen equipment. The breakfast was simple but the orange juice was great. The location is good especially the izakaya within walking distance. They are very good about holding your luggage if you're too early. Would absolutely return!

We rarely use hotels, preferring self-catering, so don't have much to compare this with, but this hotel managed to avoid the negatives of so many - over heavy duvet, soft mattresses, fierce non-controllable air con, windows you can't open etc, so wins our approval. Our Queen room was small but clean, quiet & the bed comfortable. Centrally located so easy to walk everywhere. Friendly staff happy to provide extra tea bags & milk on request. The breakfasts were a little limited & the breakfast space rather small to cope at busy times, but the basics like muesli, fruit, loose tea & decent coffee were done right.

We stayed for 4 nights in suite 303 (premium suite, 1 bedroom). The suite itself was large, had a kitchenette & laundry machine. Housekeeping kept everything (room & hotel) spotless. Front desk staff were friendly & polite. The breakfast (included in price) had juice, coffee, cereal, toast. The hotel is located 2-3 blocks from the waterfront. Everything was outstanding about this lovely art deco hotel. We would definitely stay at TRYP again if visiting Wellington.

We did an upgrade for our stay, but still at the ground floor. Room good, the washer and dryer a plus, good shower and bathroom. The front desk still empty most of the time, need to call to hace someone there. There aren't flexibility, all answers regarding an extra start with no. Location is great, walking distance of the Wellington few attractions.
