I stayed here for over five weeks from January to March '25. I have mixed opinions. The staff are amazing, they really do go above and beyond to help you out, and they are super friendly. The rooms are cleaned every day and so are the bathrooms. It's quite easy to meet people here, too. One of the kitchens is way too small on one of the floors and isn't ideal to cook in but that can't be helped, the other floors have bigger and more accessible kitchens. My main issue is the people. This hostel allows all ages so some rooms you are lumped in with 60+ years of age, as a young girl, sharing rooms or floors with old men is not ideal. As it's one of the cheapest hostels, some of the residents here seem to be people who would otherwise be on the street, some seem on drugs or unhinged in general, which made me feel quite unsafe at times. I also found they have a high threshold for kicking people out - some people who were complained about several times from many different people had no real consequences. On my first night I also had no clean sheets. And if you arrive after hours there's nobody at reception apart from security who you have to call - but if you have just arrived in the country naturally you don't have a sim. So some minor improvements.

For the price it's great, very well located in the heart of the city and the hostelry is well organised (Lockers in the rooms, labels for the beds and for the food - negative point shower and toilet in the same room and there are not many for the floor you are on) + super staff at the welcome counter. Private car park available ($24 for the night pretty decent) The rooms (bed x 4) are quite small, there is a problem of ventilation because it doesn't smell fresh at all! Stop putting carpets in the rooms, it's always damp and doesn't smell nice please

Good if you're a heavy sleeper who can sleep through anything. Not the worst hostel I've stayed at, and generally nice place and location, and staff were friendly, but my main complaint is that the place is VERY noisy. Dorm doors (which are very loud opening and closing) all have huge gaps under so noise travels from the kitchens (banging cupboards, etc) and communal spaces located right outside the rooms. Staff don't enforce the 11pm curfew for noise or alcohol, I was kept awake until past midnight waiting for a party with people yelling and drinking to finish in the kitchen and communal area on my floor (yellow zone). They also have communal eating areas in the hallways, making it VERY hard to get to the rooms as you have to push past drunk people who speak other languages. Why have so many chairs and a table in a narrow hallway? Beds are VERY creaky so any movement wakes everyone up. Not many toilets so good luck if you need one urgently. Very stuffy atmosphere, even if the windows are open. I wish I had more nice things to say, but I won't be back. The check in and check out experience was nice and easy though, and it was reasonably cheap... I guess you get what you pay for...

A good clean hostile, and a terrific location. Staff were quite nice, and very helpful. Had a private room with an affordable rate, very comfortable. I would stay here again, probably will.

The reception employees/hipsters working there won't give you any kind of kindness at any level. More than likely, they are gonna make you change rooms if you stay more than a couple of days and that is just because of their condescending incompetence. Threatening you with a fine at 10.10am if you aren't out of the room yet. That is without talking about how inconvenient it is to check in & out in the same hostel several times a week...compromising your days. (I remember very well a very unfriendly French girl with glasses who, for some reason, just wouldn't speak French with me even though I'm a native French speaker. And a long hair American girl that just simply shouldn't work at any front desk. They were 2 among others). The cleaning employees are nicer. But because of the terrible situation of almost all rooms around a kitchen, they will wake you up washing dishes at 7am everyday. And god only knows it is one of the worst sound to wake up to. And the 11pm curfew style policy against food and alcohol is just terrible. It made me feel like a child. I could understand for alcohol but the night gorilla will give you a hard time if you like snacking past that hour. I stayed there end of 2023 and not looking back at it with nice memories at all.

I had a great stay at this hostel. Good central location and friendly relaxed spot. It has the atmosphere of pre-covid backpackers, with a bit of a buzz of people in social areas, but everyone being considerate of each other's space. I was in a room near the elevators which kept us out of the way of most of the hostels traffic so there was very little issue with disturbed sleep when combined with my good luck on considerate room mates who prepped their night time stuff before heading out and came in very quietly. But of course it was the staff who made the stay great. Shout out to Camilla and Daniel who were friendly and welcoming, and the others who's cleaning efforts did not go unnoticed. The hostel isn't spotless, but it wasn't for lack of effort. I feel like I bumped into someone on a cleaning mission most times I moved through the hostel. Thanks for a good stay.

Unfortunately this hostel was not clean. The interior looked a bit shabby. The room smelled like there had not been fresh air in it for ten days. The floor was also not vacuumed. When I reported that they put in a fan but that only made the smelly air go round inside the room. The bathroom was not clean. It didn't look at all like the nice pictures I saw when booking.

We booked a private room, the room was not clean the beds may have been changed but that is all that was done. There were layers of dust on the carpet and skirting board which were easily accessible so could easily have been cleaned with a hoover. The fridges were all full the only space left was in a puddle of liquid at the bottom of the fridge. They claim these fridges are cleaned daily they clearly are not the shared bathroom and kitchen were cleaned by staff just a shame the rooms aren't shown the same care
