Let me begin by saying that I really love it here. The rooms are really nicely setup. The colour palette chosen is lovely, and it's accentuated by awesome art by Josh Currie. Rooms are clean and were well stocked with everything I needed. It felt like the quality of all the amenities in the room was intentionally thought about, which seems extremely rare for a hotel. The choice to stock something like Noble & Sunday tea isn't a fluke, it shows they care about their customers having a good experience. The extra goodies in the room were also a huge bonus (chocolate, jet planes, pretzels, and even drinks). The super surprising thing I didn't expect though - the best shower I've ever had in my life. Water pressure was great and the fixtures are perfect. The mirror in the bathroom is amazing too, as someone that struggles with harsh lighting, the extra light options were awesome. The location is great, there are some fantastic food options close by like Pizza Pomodoro. Thanks to all the staff who put in effort to make this a great (somewhat hidden) gem

After much deliberation can absolutely confirm this is our favourite hotel in New Zealand! The room (and by extension the building itself) is thoughtfully designed, comfortable, cool and relaxing to return to at the end of your day. The supreme coffee is a nice touch, and the little treats left for you made our day after a delayed flight into Wellington. A special thank you to the owners for letting us hold our original booking as a credit to use, despite the fact they had no obligation. Will be back and will be singing The Cobblers praises to everyone we know.
We spent 3 fantastic nights in the two bedroom apartment and absolutely loved it. The beds were comfortable with lovely bed linen and the entire apartment is tastefully furnished and contained everything we needed. The shower was amazing. |We loved the location and the vibe of the lane. All the bars, cafes and restaurants were busy and friendly and all work together to provide a collectively fantastic experience for their clientele. |I can't wait to return to Wellington - but will only come back if I can stay at the Cobbler Hotel again.
Excellent small boutique hotel located in great area of Wellington, round the corner from Cuba street and only minutes from the waterfront. ||Great communication from the owners who were exceptionally helpful and accommodating of us arriving on 2 touring bikes. ||The room had everything we needed. A small kitchen area full of exactly what we needed to feed ourselves. The bed, bathroom, linen and towels and toiletries were first class and the mini bag of pretzels really appreciated. ||Thanks for providing such a great place to stay in the best city we've been to yet in NZ.
The Cobbler Hotel is another great offering in the boutique accommodation range for Wellington. We've stayed at three different price points now in this range (Naumi at the high end, Intrepid in the mid and Cobbler at the lower) and The Cobbler Hotel fits right in. It's moody and romantic; the decor feels luxurious. |Centrally located, just a block from Cuba Street, you feel like you're in the thick of it. And luckily the street noise isn't too bad (much better than at Intrepid Hotel just up the road). |Access was easy with no actual check in, but a pin code being provided for entry. And everyone loves a 11am check out.|As previously mentioned, The Cobbler Hotel sits at the lower price range of the Wellington boutique hotels we've stayed at. But it's not a "cheap hotel" by any means. It's just cheaper than the other two. And I hope it stays that way because everyone deserves a bougie night away.
We were thoroughly impressed with the overall experience. The decor was stylish and had a modern vibe that made the space feel inviting from the moment we stepped inside. The bed was incredibly comfortable.|The bathroom was lovely with high-quality fixtures and excellent water pressure. In addition to this, the RAAD toiletries made the whole showering experience feel like a mini spa.|The staff were super friendly and happy to help us after hours when we had an issue working the TV.|We found parking at the Taranaki Street carpark a couple of minutes walk away to be convenient and not too expensive. Using the app made the whole parking experience straight forward.
We had an amazing 2 night stay at The Cobbler whilst visiting Wellington with colleagues for a conference. The owners were incredibly accommodating and provided great communication. Location is so perfect, we enjoyed many cafes and restaurants within a quick walking distance and loved the new cafe attached, Eva's Garage. Our 2 bed apartment was just perfect, comfy beds, amazing shower and enough space. We are looking forward to staying again.
Amazing stay at The Cobbler Hotel. Stayed for 1 night in a 2 bedroom apartment with 4 guests. Fantastic location, close to loads of restaurants and bars, but still very quiet at night. Apartment was lovely, all the amenities you need with really comfortable beds. Really easy check in process, gave us a code for the front door and apartment so can check in at any time after 2pm. Very easy to contact the owners via email or phone and always very helpful and pleasant to deal with. We wished we were staying longer. Will definitely stay again if I'm ever back in Wellington.
