We were very disappointed with our room at Quest on the Terrace. We paid for a 2 bedroom apartment. It was old and smelled bad. There was no air con/heat pump. The sliding door that opened out to the window was broken and could not latch. The only thing to stop my children from falling 12 floor was a flimsy low window grill. The car park was small and very hard to navigate. We stayed in the room for 10 minutes before leaving and forfeit our payment. We got a much nicer 2 bedroom apartment very close to Te Papa for a slightly higher price. DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

A very tired hotel 2 bed apartment room with only enough hot water for two showers. Was told to just wait form the water to heat up! Tired furnishings. Average location with a questionable housing apartment next door. Won't return. Poor value.

Absolutely let down. Rooms are very out dated, car parks are so tight that you will get a ding in your car by someone else's car (it's that tight you have to fold wing mirrors in and struggle to put a leg out the door to get out. We booked a family unit of 4 and got given 2 towels, doors look terrible, toilet it that close to the rail you struggle sitting down comfortably, washing machine drier has been well over used, it doesn't dry at all and also is very smelly, very small tv in the apartment, doors to open onto deck is very dodgy, we were level 13 and it was freaky as you need to put your whole body weight into the door to open it. No air con at all, super hot, 1x fan in the room to try cover all rooms 2x bedroom , hallway, lounge. No sky movies only basic sky Channels, chairs are missing screws so dodgy to sit down, not very clean in side the apartment definitely they need to spend some time on the room cleans even the hallways walking to your room.

I stayed here on a Sunday due to its close proximity to the training center where I had an exam on Monday. The room was well-equipped with a kitchenette, awesome coffee machine and a small fridge. The water pressure in the shower was amazing. There was a step inside the room, but the staff kindly pointed this out during check-in (note to self: don't text while walking in unfamiliar rooms ). The bed was a bit firm for my liking, though the linens were fresh and clean. Unfortunately, the lack of air conditioning was noticeable, and the fan didn't effectively cool the room. There was some street noise, but that's expected in a city center. The location is convenient, with several restaurants within walking distance, and the train station and public transport nearby. I chose to park at the Clifton Car Park after reading other reviews. It was $34 for overnight parking, compared to the hotel's basement parking at $25. I gladly paid the difference to avoid potential issues, though this car park was quite busy on Monday morning.

Me and my partner had an amazing 2-night stay at the Quest for his birthday celebration. The experience was perfect, made even better by Iva, the receptionist, who went above and beyond to accomodate us.She not only arranged for the best room but also offered a generous discounted rate, making our stay extra special.Iva's kindness and attention to detail truly set the tone for a wonderful visit.Highly recommend!

Great service at reception, rooms are a bit dated, and no double glazing so there is a fair bit of noise from outside.

Stayed at this location for 8 weeks this past winter on business. Location is good, not great. Few restaurants in the area are open in the evening or on weekends that are not in a hotel. Easy walk down to the Lampton street once you know the secret passages. Easy walk to parliament. Service was excellent. Room cleaned very well and the front desk staff helpful and friendly. Room was clean, but more than bit grim. Queen bed only allowed about 6 inches between bed and wall on one side. Drapes were dark brown, did not fit on rod and did not block much of the light from The Terraces road. Same old brown not fitting drapes on the other windows in the apartment. You can heat up a takeaway meal, but cannot really cook even something simple. Only one heater in the apartment in the hall meant that I could not close the bedroom door at night and have the bedroom warm. OK place if you are booking for 4 to 5 nights but would not recommend for a longer stay unless quest makes a major renovation.

A mixed bag. The guy at reception was as friendly and helpful as could be. Rooms (we took 2 - 6g and h) were clean and had kitchenette but very differentl layouts and sizes. There were some stairs in weird places so not suitable for people with accessibility issues. Rooms werr clean and reasonably modern. Single glazed windows - so a refular hum of noise, but nit bad. There was a weird smell in the corridors and both rooms - not sure what it was - but with windows open it dissipated and we got used to it surprisingly quickly. Rooms were clean. Internet was good. Parking was extremely tight and inconvenient. Location was just above the city, so no great access during the day (using elevator shortcuts to Lampton quay) - a bit of a walk uphill at night though). It was fairly inexpensive so good value for money.
