We were recommended Quest on Johnston by friends who always stay there.. and it will be our hotel of choice now. Excellent location being close to theatres, restaurants, cafes and shopping. The waterfront is only a 5 minute walk away. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Great to have a washing machine even though we didn't use it. The service was phenomenal...especially Tamara who went above and beyond. Thank you team for making our stay so enjoyable. We'll be back.

Service desk was super friendly when I arrived quickly telling me everything I needed to know and when asked giving me a few suggestions on things I wanted to know around the local area. Rooms are really clean with everything you need with a small basic kitchen to a washer and drier combo, free wifi which is nice and fast. Local traffic outside was loud enough to be heard but not an annoyance. A great place to stay for the price considering others in the area
We stayed here for 10 nights and had a wonderful experience. Everything about this place is great. Tamara went out of her way to help us and she looked after us very well. Quest is so close to the waterfront and it's in the heart of the CBD. The rooms were very clean and serviced each day (except Sunday). The bed was so comfortable, the shower was great and we had excellent views of the city and we could see the waterfront. The security is very good. One of my all time favourite places to stay and I have travelled extensively. We will come back here again!
We had a great stay at Quest on Johnston. The location is fantastic--just a 10-minute walk from the waterfront and surrounded by shops and food places, making everything very convenient. The hotel apartment is on the smaller side, but the kitchen area was handy for preparing simple meals. The bathroom is compact but functional for one person or a couple. During our stay, there were two days of heavy wind, and being on level 11, we noticed the apartment swayed quite a bit. It was a little unsettling at first, but after learning this is normal for high-rise buildings here in Wellington during windy days, we were more at ease. Just a heads-up to anyone visiting on particularly windy days! Overall, it was a good stay. The staff were nice and helpful, and the building was quiet, which we appreciated. If you're looking for a central and convenient place to stay, it's worth considering.
Nice apartments in an ideal location for exploring the city. Room is clean and good value for money. Car park is a little expensive (40 dollars per night) but didn't affect the overall positive experience we had with the Accomodation
The place is excellent. It's cosy and good for couple stay. The counter staffs are friendly. You can get food and shopping easily nearby. However the shampoo, shower gel and one more item (I have forgotten what was it) in the bathroom were not poked on the bottom, therefore I couldn't use them. I have reflected to the counter staff but it was not attended to. That is the only setback.
Great hotel which is centrally located. Had a muck around with our rooms initially which was embarrassing (given a room that was already occupied and wr unknowingly opened the door). The person at the desk was apologetic and kindly upgraded us to a 1 bedroom apartment. Overall very comfortable and good location. The washing machine is a bit ancient bit working. Will definitely visit again
It started off poorly right at check in. On the Expedia app it's clearly advertised as "parking available", which is one of the reasons I picked this hotel. Little do you know, you have to read the fine print and parking is limited. The hotel staff then proceeded to tell me she didn't know what to do because she just returned from a vacation herself. I will also add here that the bathroom had mold all over the shower and there is clearly a musty smell, just disgusting. The next morning, this same employee (Tamara) proceeded to call our hotel room at 7:00am multiple times just to say parking isn't advertised as available. We go to the front desk on our way out and she continues to say parking still isn't available. She gave us horrible attitude and essentially told us off, HORRIBLE customer service. We return to the hotel just before 8:00pm and a different front desk employee offers us parking for additional $40 a day when we have now already paid to park the car elsewhere.
