Park Hotel, Wellington

We spent a weekend at the Park hotel with our kids and had a great stay overall. The location worked perfectly for us - close enough to the waterfront and main tourist spots that we could easily explore with the little ones.||||Our two bedroom apartment was comfortable and gave everyone their own space - a welcome relief from those places where you end up with two beds crammed into one room. It had everything we needed without unnecessary extras. I booked directly through the hotel's website based on a referral from a close family member, and we made a great choice - even saved some money compared to the travel sites.||||The hotel isn't luxury, but it's a solid choice if you're looking for a convenient base for exploring the area with kids at a great price. Staff were friendly and the place was clean, which is what matters most when travelling as a family.

I will definitely be coming back! My room had an amazing view of wellington. It had a good amount of space and was exactly as shown. They have a laundry room for each level which was great but the dryer was a bit iffy.

Not 4 star, but fabulous for the price. King Studio was spacious enough with a lovely and comfortable king bed. The view was the carport, but we didn't come for the view. Very happy with our room.

Previous reviews are quite bad so I was a bit unsure. However, the room was fresh and clean, room service was great and location is perfect! Has washing machines and dryers on the floor. Unfortunately dryers were out of order and I wouldnt recommend washing your clothes and air drying in your room.

Reaasonably priced and very handy to the Terrace and Lambton Quay. The layout is a bit odd, as it a modified office block, and the rooms feel a bit tired, particularly the ac unit. But comfortable enough for a short stay and very reasonably priced for the location.

If I could give the room 2 1/2 stars I would. For 4 people the apartment seriously lacks sitting areas & chairs & the chairs that were there were heavily stained. There is no dishcloths provided, no oaper towels, serviettes or tissues so washing the dishes was counter productive. No lighting above mirror in hallway No Coat-hangers No xtra blankets Inconsistent shower temperature. Heating didn't work in bedrooms & lounge (unable to change sensor buttons to control the heat) No microwave instructions 1 remote for both TV'S (1 in lounge & 1 in 1 bedroom) Washing machine broken & no sign up to advise this. Only after putting our clothes in were we aware & then we couldn't open the door to remove them as the door on the machine was also broken. No drawers in bedrooms to store clothes & shelf space lacking in bathroom. When the room was serviced, towels were not removed & left on the floor. The only positive was the location...

Lifts barely work, broken washing machines, broken dryers, no dish washing soap for dishes, thin walls so you can hear all the neighbours having sex (lovely) lifts occasionally take you to the wrong floor. Decent amenities. Good location, air con works for the most part. No room service, hotline, or any extras. Parts of room not properly cleaned. Good if you're on a budget.

Good place to stay, right in the heart of the shopping and restaurant scene. Plenty of pubs about too, who all serve food. Parking has to be prebooked and there is a charge of 30 dollars a night. Worth it though because parking anywhere near is impossible just about. We would stay again.
