Movenpick Hotel Wellington

The presentation of staff and premises is excellent. The room was very well appointed. As are all the common areas. Food in the restaurant was good quality, and the staff attentive and Profesional. The room had a range of power outlets and charging outlets for devices and overseas plugs. Overall, a very high level of thought and effort in design and delivery. A great hotel. And even better staff.

Well-presented hotel. Reasonably spacious room, modern, clean, comfortable, small bathroom but good shower. Loved the Chocolate hour (combined with bar happy hour!). Quiet location but room was a bit noisy with plumbing from surrounding rooms and various thumps and mechanical noises (maybe from the elevator?). Friendly staff, good pool, sauna and gym.

Upgraded room due to Gold status - well-presented, modern, reasonably spacious, good amenities including dressing gown, slippers, coffee pod machine. Welcome snack in room. King bed was two singles pushed together, but comfortable enough.||Small bathroom with a very good shower. Not sure why so many hotels these days can't just put on a proper bathroom door!? Here it's frosted glass with big gaps.||Quiet residential location a short walk outside the main city centre, take the "VIP" lift to avoid the final big hill! Although no external noise, the internal soundproofing is poor - could hear plumbing from surrounding rooms, a lot of corridor noise, and random thumps and other mechanical noises (maybe the elevator?).||Staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. Good pool, sauna and gym. Happy hour and Chocolate hour worth attending. The typical buffet breakfast is quite expensive but the Accor Plus discount makes it worthwhile. Attractive lobby where it's nice to spend time relaxing with the complimentary cookies and tea.||Had a nice stay overall, maybe next time I'd ask for a room that's known to be quieter!

We checked in and immediately noticed that the room was old and damaged, the blinds on a window would not open, stains on carpet, and a door to the bedroom that had been damaged and poorly repaired several times, and a broken bathroom drain it was dangerous to step on. That night we both struggled to sleep--I spent much of the night awake with allergies. I looked on top of the bed's headboard and wardrobe and it was covered--covered!--in dust. I raised the dust, with pictures, to the manager, on top of the poor room quality. I stressed that it ruined our nights sleep, and gave me allergies that continued throughout the whole trip. He promised he would get the room cleaned "top to bottom". I came back to the room several hours later, the bed was made, but the dust was entirely untouched. I called again, this time requesting a cloth so I could clean it up; it was very uncomfortable to be in the room at that point. The manager appeared with the head housekeeper a few minutes later. They offered to clean it again, once I showed them pictures for a third time. After 10 minutes in the room, they left. After they left, I checked again. They had cleaned the headboard, but completely skipped the top of the wardrobe. I had to chase the head housekeeper down the hallway and get them to come back. "This is very embarrassing and unacceptable" said the head housekeeper to me. There was weeks and weeks of dust on that wardrobe, right by the air vent too. At the end of this process I was exhausted and embarrassed and had very little faith in the staff of this hotel. By that point we had less than 16 hours left in our stay so we wanted as little contact with staff as possible. The cleaning helped somewhat, but the room was still so dusty. I will never be staying in a Movenpick hotel again, and recommending anybody else to avoid this chain.

I always feel so welcome when staying at Movenpick Wellington. The team are all friendly & professional. The food is delicious & the beds are super comfy. It makes such a difference especially for those of us who travel away from home for work a lot. Highly recommend! Thanks so much Atif & your team for making me feel so welcome.

The staff was so kind and helpful. Breakfast was scrumptious! The hotel is environmentally friendly and rewards guests for being so too. Then, they found out we were celebrating our honeymoon and gave us a wonderful plate of chocolate in our room. Finally, there is a CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN every day from 4-5. Amazing!!! Why wouldn't you stay here?

Stayed for the weekend. Love the chocolate experience and the sundae too! The room was so nice and clean!! Would stay again. Breakfast was good, but definitely had more wow breakfast buffet's elsewhere.

Absolutely loved our stay at Movenpick. Beautiful view of the city. Great indoor pool and gym. Special mention to Jessica who was at reception who was super friendly and informative on activities to do around Wellington. Will be back for sure at some stage. Highly recommend
