Check-in was efficient, and the room on first impressions was good, although I was disappointed to see significant staining to the carpet by the side of the bed, and stains to the lounge chair in the room. It would be expected that such stains would be professionally cleaned or the items repaired or replaced. The bathroom also was somewhat tired. Otherwise the room was comfortable and well appointed - good crisp bed linen, comfortable lighting choices, reasonably spacious. The view out the back is of other buildings and yards, and a multi storey car park. The views from the front rooms over the street and church are much nicer. Everything worked, and our stay overall was pretty good. We got a late checkout to 11am, although were disappointed to have housekeeping knocking on our door shortly after 10am regardless. If reception are giving late checkout, housekeeping should be advised and act accordingly. Bags were left at reception at checkout and kept secure. Both checkout and uplift of the bags later were efficient and friendly. With some easy improvements this could be a much better experience.

The good: it's cheap. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful, room was mostly clean. To improve: The room was in need of several repairs. No curtains, only block out drapes, with missing runners. No privacy without closed drapes. Only one window latch of two was functional, the other threatened to come off in my hand. Couldn't fully close window to noisy street below. Missing wardrobe handle, holes in bathroom from previous towel rail installation, the shower gel pump in bathroom mounted in wrong direction making it difficult to extract any, and to top it all off, a piece of medical tape from a previous guest stuck on heater. Oh, and while they do have a coin operated laundry, the hotel has decreed it's cashless, relying on fast eroding nearby businesses to provide change for their machines. How hard would it be to refit machines to run on wash tokens? They also outsourced their restaurant, which is now closed for dinner Sunday and Monday. Hmmmm. In summary: cheap and not so cheerful.

Room was dated but clean. Great location close to everything but very noisy at night. |No air con just a really loud fan|King bed was biggest letdown as was 2 singles pushed together that came apart in the night and had a giant crevice in the middle. Shower pressure was good |Advertised photos did not represent what we got.

As most reviews have highlighted, the rooms themselves are extremely outdated. The walls are paper thin - I can hear EVERYTHING outside and inside from my neighboring rooms. The front desk lady was nice, no complaints. She did her job and that's that. Don't book this hotel if you cherish your sleep, the noise inside and outside will keep you up and constantly interrupt your sleep. I really don't think it's worth even this price, and definitely don't expect something luxurious - or even entirely clean.

Worst night sleep ever, we could hear the street, the sirens, the people in the hall, the people in their rooms etc clearly. Rooms were tidy yet dated. Luckily we had air conditioning, other people weren't so lucky. The parking was full so we were transferred to the public carpark. Staff were lovely. One plus - the shower was bliss, perfect water pressure. We enjoyed watching a show at The Opera House, cafes nearby were great, and we enjoyed Cuba Dupa.

The rooms are absolutely rubbish! They are dirty and tremendously worn. Wouldn't recommend it. Things are falling apart. Hair left in the bathroom. Loose parts in the elevator. The staff on the front desk are lovely but that's where the good news stops.

Very, very disappointing. I've been using Accor properties for many years and this would definately be the worst stay that I've ever had. ||- Leaking air conditioning unit, damp carpet underneath - reported to front desk, no offer to move.||- Musty, damp smelling room with water leakage around the shower base.||- After our first night the room clean and restock was hopeless. The cleaners left a dirty cleaning brush on our bathroom sink, had no idea how to make a bed and didn't restock anything at all.||- Below average bed comfort.||||...and to top it all off, I inadvertantly left my Peter Alexander pyjamas hung on the back of the bathroom door when I left. I rang back the morning that we checked out but either they had been stolen or thrown in the bin - reception checked the room and lost property but nothing found...it would have been very easy to check with the cleaners but that wasn't done so they've been lost.||||Really poor experience all round - I won't be back to that property.

extremely worn out rooms. the walls had cracks, paint was peeling, and half the floors have no air con. do not stay here in summer, with no ac and a window that barely opens I almost cooked in my sleep. soundproofing is nonexistent and you can hear cars in the carpark next door all day long - could even hear my neighbours opening drawers. we were given old, used and stained coasters for our cups. drawers were broken, and no utensils provided. the toilet was quite literally rusted. only redeeming factor is the location which is super handy.
