Karaka Bay Retreat

This B&B is in a stunning position overlooking the bay & is beautifully decorated & well equipped. There is ample parking directly in front of the property. We had the ground floor room which has a huge private bathroom just across the hall (bathrobe provided for privacy!) The hosts were so friendly & also very knowledgeable about the local area as they have lived there for many years. The breakfast was amazing - it really set us up for the day as we had quite a drive ahead of us. Joe's freshly squeezed orange juice was just as delicious. I was sorry to leave & would love to return one day.

I can not begin to explain how stunning this property is. My friends & I were lucky enough to spend one night here & it was so special. We sat out on the porch listening to the ocean & drinking wine before jumping into the cosiest of beds. Breakfast was such a gorgeous surprise, homemade cooking at its finest. The host is so lovely. Can not wait to return with friends again next time we're in Wellington. Thank you so much!

This b & b was fantastic. The room was beautiful and the views of the water were amazing. The hosts were so nice and we had a lot of laughs. Breakfast was perfect. I can't believe this amazing place does not have more trip advisor reviews. Highly recommended! We were only there one night, but I wish we could have stayed longer in Wellington and enjoyed this wonderful accommodation.

We needed a room for the night, so we opted for a B&B instead of a hotel. The lovely couple had a nice B&B across the street from the beach. The room was clean, the bathroom was nice, the water in the shower was strong and hot and the breakfast was delicious. So we were happy people! We certainly recommend this B&B if you are looking for a nice B&B close to the airport or near the beach.||||As a note, it was a $20 Uber ride from the airport. ||||We did not take any photos of the house, but trust us it was lovely. The photos were outside, which was a highlight of the day.||||We made our reservations on Bookings.com.

My wife and I stayed here with another couple for three nights. Joe and Lusia are excellent hosts. Very good breakfasts every morning and afternoon coffee/tea. They had many good suggestions on what do do and places to visit. Very nice home and facilities right on water. Nice extra is little penguins haul out right across street and fun to see them. Highly recommended!

Welcoming hosts, delicious bedding, great location...stunning views, best size teacups.... devine....will be back again in the future..
