Bolton Hotel

We were in NZ for 44 days and stayed at 20 accommodation sites. This was the best in location, amenities and most of all, service. The manager, Gary, was not only efficient and professional, he was warm, funny (I think it was to relieve us of our travel stress) and observant. He would notice that we needed help without us asking, and he offered excellent advice on a variety of topics. The night manager, Nona, was also genial and a problem-solver. We had been in NZ almost three weeks by this time and had many issues with the itinerary prepared for us by our local travel agent. It was the Bolton Hotel staff who eased our concern that we might not have a positive experience in NZ.||We stayed in a classic suite with breakfast and valet parking. The suite was large and had a great view. It also had a combination washer-dryer which was quite unusual in a hotel and a very desirable amenity. Breakfasts were buffet style with lots of choices. The hotel also offered a complimentary one-way cable car ride - a nice gesture that made us feel welcomed. If you plan to visit Wellington, stay at the Bolton Hotel Wellington.

Fantastic experience! Sparkling clean, lovely view, fully functional and equipped kitchen and washer-dryer, excellent fitness room, great minibar, robes/slippers/ drying rack/etc provided.|Location was perfect, within walking distance of CBD, lots of excellent food places, the Beehive and one of the University campuses.||The only downside I can think of is that the TVs do not connect to the internet so there is no streaming.||Otherwise it was pretty much perfect.

Stayed here while in Wellington for a meeting. The location is great! I had a 5 minute walk to the meeting venue and very easy access to shops, restaurants and the waterfront. The hotel itself was very clean and comfy, with a free gym/lap pool/sauna. The staff were also fantastic and went out of their way to help guests. Highly recommend!

Location was fantastic, not being too far away from the CBD. The room itself was great, given we stayed for a week long stay, we were provided with an oven that also grilled, a dishwasher, sink, cutlery and crockery. The kitchen condiments were replaced daily, as were the bathroom essentials. The cleaning staff did an amazing job. Given we have a young son, it easily got untidy, but each day when we got back to the room, it had all been reset - I truly appreciate how hard they work (it's not easy). The valet staff and front desk were very friendly, even bringing down our car without us asking, as they knew what time we were leaving the next day. All in all, given this was our first trip to New Zealand/Wellington, I would highly recommend staying at the Bolton Hotel.

The suite was very spacious. It had some cooking facilities which were useful. Bed was comfortable but a little soft.|Staff were amazing and helpful and responded well to all our requests.|Handy to Parliament, the Botantical Gardens and shopping on Lambton Quay

The pool at the Bolton is the perfect temperature, you never get that chill feeling when you first get it. So pleasant. The added benefit of also have a small gym, sauna and spa makes this a high value stay. The rooms are luxurious and spacious and an added bonus to have full cooking facilities.

Basically 2 turns off the express way, so really easy to navigate to. Great location, lovely rooms. Free use of the gym / lap pool / sauna was appreciated after a week on the bike. Super comfy bed. Quiet area after dark.

I have just had the best breakfast of my life at the Artisan, Bolton Hotel! The food was varied with a broad selection and they easily catered to my specific dietary needs upon request. The service was absolutely unbelievable!! The restaurant was nearly full but still my specific needs were accommodated almost instantly! I've never seen anything like it. Highly recommend the Artisan at the Bolton Hotel.
