Bay Plaza Hotel

The one good thing about this place is location. The upgrade since covid has been probably done to the best due to age of place. Any staff we saw were friendly and helpful including restaurant staff. Beds comfy enough with good pillows. Our only gripe was the side we were on had some sort of unit that runs "maybe" kitchen fans etc we were on 7th floor and heard it from ground level. It went late into the night and started up at 6am. Guess this only happens on that side.

The Bay Plaza is really well located, close to central downtown and the Harbour. Rooms a good size, very basic amenity but what you need. Parking available at cost. Could provide a little more local information but basically, comfortable and convenient

Excellent, good service, clean and tidy room great car parking and great location central to downtown Wellington.||A little dated but great value for money. I would certainly stay there again. meet my expectations.||Bumped into some other guests that have been staying there every month for years so that says it all.

The hotel is in the perfect location to explore the CBD. We stayed for two nights and the bed was comfortable with good pillows. I asked before we stayed for a room on the lower floors and the team were incredibly helpful. Yes, the rooms are a bit older and the bathroom needs an update, but it was clean with all the amenities needed. For the price and location I would stay again.

Stayed for 2 nights Friday and Saturday, central and real handy to the city and waterfront. Nice rooms with the basics. No aircon but a fan and opening window, and aging fit out. Good for value and money and friendly staff. I would stay again

Unfortunately we did not have the best time at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable with fast service. But... the hotel is right near a fire station and the windows are paper thin so you can hear the city at all hours. The shower didn't drain well at all so I spent most of my shower standing in water. Parking was a nightmare it was almost impossible to fit into a spot without hitting your neighbours. I hate leaving negative reviews but I would never stay here again.

Stayed in room 901 on the ninth floor looking out to the city and harbour, great views! The windows are single glazed and poorly fitted, which meant the noise of the traffic and the wind was loud. Also meant that the cold wind came into the room..... Room was spacious light and bright, however did feel run down, particularly the bathroom. Mattress needed an upgrade as you could feel the springs. Could hear all the noise from the attached room and in the corridor, the doors must be paper thin. Service was kind and friendly, I found the parking handy and reasonable. I don't think I'd stay again. Video attached to this review is taken with the windows closed.

Although the Hotel looked a little tired.The location was great as were the staff on reception . It has character, is clean with comfortable beds. The breakfast was good and the service was great.
