Midway Pacifica Lodge

This place is DISGUSTINGLY BAD. We were told at check in we had to pay $100 bond before we could even view the room. I said I would on the proviso I would get an invoice showing the refundable bond. I also stated I would take pictures of the room as we entered and when we left to ensure the bond would be repaid. The receptionist looked less than pleased but complied with my wishes. On entering the room it stank of mould and goodness knows what else. The plates and cutlery looked like they hadn't been washed but rather wiped "clean". The TV didn't work. The shower was filthy. The carpet was a piece that didnt fully cover the floor. 7 days later the bond still wasn't refunded. After an initial phone call I was told I would be called back on my number. All subsequent phone calls were sent to voice-mail. It took me calling from a different phone number and a seriously aggressive conversation before they eventually returned the bond. This company owns multiple motels in the area and the reviews on all of them are atrocious. Wellington doesn't deserve to have people like this ruining tourism in their city.

I have never stayed in such a filthy place in my life. The staff are bloody rude We had no towels and when we asked got told we had to wait till the morning as they were all getting washed. No tea towel, or hand towel Curtain fell off the hooks when we opened them to look outside. Thank god we found a babysitter for our daughter before travelling 10hrs to stay here cause our room was also a single bed short from what we booked for. Absolute piss take, close the doors if you cant accomodate such simple things that you are advertising. The kitchen has 1 knife, 1 fork, 2 spoons and there were 2 of us. No extra blankets, and was absolutely freezing We are travelling with 3 other families and also not one of us were mentioned that they take $100 bond fee as well until they just take it. Save your money, I would have honestly rather stayed in my canopy

I don't think 1 star is even deserving. The room was disgusting, place looks run down and not very inviting When we arrived, we were told to check in at another motel, upon arriving there were issues. We were given a key and upon entering the room, it was a totally different room then what we had chosen on site, the room smelt musty cold, dirty, used cotton buds on the floor and rubbish on the bed. We went back to reception and told them the situation. It wasn't until they said we have another room which was the original room we had chosen. They said it would be a 30 minute wait as it needed to be clean. We waited for the room to be cleaned. That room was also disgusting too. Never again Wouldn't recommend! Worse place I've ever stayed at!

Place is Rank rooms are horrible. Had to pay a $100 bond which I paid in cash. I couldn't check out early because I had to wait for office to open at 9am. Called staff to check out early she refused even tho she lives on site. Terrible customer service. Do not stay here.

This place is a dump. Opened the door and left to another motel. DON'T stay here. It looks abandoned and I would let my dog stay here. Arrived and had to get the key from a different motel. The vanity was falling apart and didn't want to pull the sheets back to look at the mattress.

Not worth $532 complete rip off there were bugs no heater in room which made it ultra cold I had a 6year old girl not VERY pleasant to sleep in so don't recommend staying here it's not worth your $$$$

You're lucky if you've booked and they give you their new room. As for the others. Stay away. I have never given a review like this but today I will. There is a standard of Hygiene you have in your own homes and this is just a reflection of the management and what they expect their customers to roll with. Checked in and out within 1 hour and checking the room. My mates room had blood spots on his pillow. We had hair allover the beds linen and we could see black spots. 1 room smelt like a urinal, one like it had been deep cleaned through the drains and the smell was so strong. After a hard day of work you would not expect to walk into that. Hole in the carpet of the room as well. We left and decided to eat at k.f.c since it was a lot cleaner. Came back and checked out and told the guy at reception I wasn't happy. He offered to put us in their new rooms but after what we had seen we didn't want anything to do with them. Not a good experience.

$229 per night for below average COLD rooms. Requested heaters but what was provided was inadequate. Insisted on full payment before we arrived (2 week booking), but then refused to amend this when we needed to make a change. On site laundry was locked and were told to use a laundry at a different motel, but this was always busy. Bedding was not changed in the whole 2 week stay. Would never stay here again or recommend.
