Foreshore Motor Lodge

I just wanted to say that the very kind lady who took my reservation and then later understood the jam we were in was so flexible and forgiving I just had to give her a glowing review. The next time we need accommodation in the Lower Hutt or even Wellington area, we WILL be staying here. Thank you for your generous understanding, Foreshore Motor Lodge!!!

Really nice place to stay back from the main road but really close to the shore and a cafe. Gracious hostess.

Completely disagree with previous reviews - this place is great! Stayed in room 5 - studio queen was clean and comfortable - it was cold do we welcomed the wall heater and electric blankets. We made a last minute 8pm Saturday night booking and were warmly welcomed. Thanks :)

My experience of this place was atrocious! Let's start with the service- Susan was lovely. However, the room was below average. Red bleach stains on my duvet, spiders living in the bathroom, dust on the bedside tables, mould on the roof, stunk like my great grandmas house and dust floating everywhere. Outdated waste of money. If you love a 'quiet night in', forget it, as the busy main road of Petone does not support quietness. Do not stay here!

I have stayed here satisfactorily a few years ago, so I never read the reviews, which now portray how low the Motel has sunk.||Sadly it lacks maintenance and is falling into disrepair. The feeling is that the motel is there to extract every dollar possible whist offering nothing in return.||The only redeeming thing is:"the location is great"||Sadly, we suggest you stay elsewhere unless it is the only place you can book.

Its quite old. Ran by a Chinese family. While they tried their best to serve, the motel shows its age

This room 6 is a run down shack of a place it's a dump! Hugely disappointing as the photos looked nice on the internet. The walls need paint the floors need replacement or a professional scrub and polish, the carpet needs to be replaced or at least professionally shampooed! The outside gives a nice impression and then we walked in to a roughly cobbled together rundown room and bench they described as a kitchenette! I could go on! Never returning and please avoid a depressing stay by never booking in here!

11/10 service. Staff were amazing to deal with! Very accommodating, we had a trailer so staff made room for secure overnight parking. Arranged to leave the trailer a little longer than check out time so we could enjoy some near by outtings. Great location right by the seafront - excellent cafe right across the road on seafront. Rooms are slighty dated but great for a 1 night away. Would stay again. Recommend !
