Ava Lodge Motel

Stayed at Ava Lodge about four years ago, so when we needed to be in the Wellington area for a couple of nights this week, decided to stay there again. It was good to see that the high standards had been maintained - although early we were welcomed with a smile and really appreciated that we were able to access our apartment straight away. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable. Thank you.

My go-to when traveling for work in the Wellington region. Sound proof, exceptionally clean, perfect location, walking distance to supermarket and restaurants. I am very fussy with accommodation, and I can highly recommend Ava Lodge as being in the top two of all the hotel/motels I've stayed at.

Perfect service, filled with unending comfort! The staff were extremely kind and were always there when I needed something. A great place to stay the night, by far the best service in Wellington.

I have stayed at Ava Lodge many times for work and recreational trips. Reason I keep coming back is that its always clean, staff are friendly, and it's super convenient to Jackson Street shops but still hidden away so is quiet! Thank you to the team for always making my stay nice and easy :)

I stayed here as the usual place we book for work was full and they referred us to Ava lodge. It was a late notice booking and they were able to easily accommodate. One of the first things I noticed was the easy access to ramp into the back door from the carpark. When I entered my ground floor room I noticed that the kitchenette bench was quite low (especially for me at 6 foot) at first I thought it a little strange but when I saw the wet area bathroom I thought wow this has been set up for someone with a wheel chair, but thought pity there is no chair access under the sink, but to my surprise when I sat on the bed I could see it the wheels on the cupboard unit under the sink, and sure enough it could be wheeled out of the way. What a great demonstration of diversity. My daughter is in a wheelchair and I was overjoyed to share photos to her of my room to which she replied was far superior to the room she had in her hotel on a recent stay to Wellington. Congratulations on providing a place that caters for the needs of those outside of the norm.

This motel is the best! We stay in a lot of places around the motu for work and the Ava is the favourite of all of our team. Christina goes above and beyond, some places get a bit slack when regulars turn up, but this places makes us feel special every time.

We love this accommodation and have stayed here Mutiple times, it is always clean and modern, and the parking is also good if you are wanting off street parking, The also have a cute cat that greeted us this time. Great access via the back entrance with your room card to scan and it lets you in. Only thing I can fault is the lady at reception was a little standoffish, not rude but also not very friendly. She did as us if we had a child in our room (which we didn't) however I was unsure why this would have mattered if we did. This would not affect us staying again though as this is out go to accommodation whenever we stay in wellington, and it is always great. :)

Absolutely top notch! There is nothing that needs improvement here. Everything from the basics of cleanliness, comfortableess, and quietness is fulfilled. All appears very new and totally functional. The receptionist Christine is wonderful! There is lots of parking with numerous restaurants nearby. My room had a kitchenette, small balcony, and a very functional layout. You won't find better at (almost) any cost! I wish I could have stayed longer than 4 days!
