Super 8 by Wyndham Mahwah

Clean and comfortable , service at front desk very pleasant. Only complaint is my room was near an exit door that shut very loudly. There were lot of people going in and out until about 10 PM, the door banged loudly every time. Overall, a good and affordable stay

I came up on this hotel for the first time early February 2025 while I was homeless. I've stayed here the max amount of time and ended up returning. Not because of the fact they had GREAT rates AND IF booked online ALLOWS the option to pay in installments!!!!!! This made my struggle much easier to manage as I had just resumed working. It is BY FAR THE MOST AFFORDABLE HOTEL IN BERGEN/PASSAIC COUNTY!!!! OUTSTANDING STAFF WHO GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND FOR THEIR GUESTS MAKING THIS HOTEL TRULY FEEL LIKE HOME!!!! At this point I consider them extended family! VERY accommodating, understanding staff. The manager, Dedrick displayed true humanity during my struggle. Thanks to his hard work, dedication to providing top hospitality, and generous acts of kindness, I was spared the experience of staying out on the street. Others I like to mention by name are James, Alexis, Daniel are all wonderful front desk associates who will go out of their way to accommodate within reason. THE ROOMS ARE VERY CLEAN, NO BUGS!!!! Great location, within walking distance of supermarkets, gas station convenience stores, restaurants, train stations, smoke shops, play grounds, library!!!! They also offer a decent breakfast, washer & dryer, and computer access(printer)!!!! Icidro, one of the housekeeper/bellmen, assisted me when I had to check out in moving my entire room, nearly 3 1/2 luggage carts full without me having to ask or tip!!!! Such nice, kind heart people, GUESTS who say good morning and goodnight, very home like atmosphere. I give Super 8 a SUPER 10 OUT OF 10!!!!! :)

Everyone is pleasant and helpful. A special shout out to Chris and Dederick! The rooms are clean and make one feel safe. There is also ample parking.

Very nice place to stay. Definitely a minimalist approach to this place as there wasn't a microwave or even a coffee machine. If you need a place to sleep and not much else this place is a good choice. Breakfast, which they call Super Start or whatever was literally a pack of off brand oatmeal which everyone tore apart instantly.

Don't recommend at all, dirty rooms, roaches, i reported this to staff and he shrugged, offered me a refund but not until the next day?? then offered to switch my room (like i want another bug infested room), i asked if my refund would still be valid had i taken the room, in 3 different ways, he said yes 3 different times, took the room because i had no other option, didnt even sleep then they refused to refund me at first, then offered a check in the mail when i paid in cash less than 24 hours before that. apparently "policy" disgusting rooms, hard beds, awful service, just spend a few more dollars next door. sketchy parking lot, hard to get in/out. SERIOUSLY STAY AWAY, i will be contacting the board of health. no idea how this establishment is even still open.

I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the entire hotel was including my room. The bed was comfortable. The front staff was also very nice.

Clean, comfortable room. In an overpriced area, the Super8 was a reasonably priced choice. Checked in late (about 11pm), and the desk attendant was pleasant and efficient. Room is small, but adequate and clean. Bed was comfortable. There was a continental breakfast, but I did not partake.

Positive: The people at the front desk were very helpful and nice. Negative: The smell when I entered my room wasn?t pleasant but wasn?t deadly maybe just spray each room with some room spray after each guest.
