Lumbini Village Lodge

Phenomenal service from Mr. Jupiter and spacious, clean rooms. There is no hot water but it was so hot during the summer that I didn't mind. I highly recommend that pilgrims to Lumbini rent a bike from here at a good price. Breakfast was tasty and healthy, with an incense stick being brought to ward away mosquitoes.

One of the friendliest and best services I had in five weeks living in various lodges. Although it can't compete with high standard hotels, it feels great to hang out there and enjoy all the meals there. The owner is always cool and positive, probably more than several monks...

A very welcoming place to stay, the room standard is good for this exact location so near to the important Buddhist sacred sites. The Lumbini Village Lodge host made me feel 'special' and added to my sense of connection to the culture & spirituality of Lumbini.

This was a great experience. Our other hotel canceled our 5 night stay THE NIGHT BEFORE we headed out to Lumbini. We were furious but Jupiter (the owner) and Lumbini village lodge luckily had an open room. We called to confirm the booking and was met with Jupiter who was simply amazing. He mentioned how other owners were canceling bookings and hiking up prices. In a myriad of shady hotel owners, Jupiter and the Lumbini village lodge were amazing at accommodating last minute, and stayed true to their original price.

Very kind hosts and great value for money for a budget stay (10 USD a night). The place is a good hub for information as the owner runs tours and they also have some guide books available for borrowing. I rented a bike, went on the village tour (can recommend that for a glimpse at the local life around Lumbini), and they also helped me book a tourist bus to Chitwan. The location is good as it is very close to the main temple. If you are looking for a budget stay with good customer service this is a nice place. They also even lent me a yoga mat which was really great.

A 3 day stay is worth it, I chose to stay here due to Lonely Planet guide but I wasn't disappointed at all. Good is good, the rooms are super basic. The washroom is alright but it's budget friendly so it won't get any better.

I had lunch at the Lumbini Village Lodge. It was delicious and i was happy to found a welcoming and warm place after a long walk. Thank your welcome Jupiter.

The owner of this place is unreliable, dishonest and untrustworthy. In fact, on the phone he quoted me 50% more than the web price. But the owners of a homestay I was stayin convinced me because he was their friend, so they reserved for me at a discount and with kitchen use. However, when I arrived at his lodge, he told me that the reservation had not been confirmed, which is a lie, so I had no choice but to get a room nearby without kitchen (I have dietary requirements) and no water in the morning. In fact, all accomodations were full as there was an event in town so he was able to sell the room at a higher price. He hypocritically offered me to use his kitchen, but I'd rather starve than seeing again this disgusting guy.
