Circuit House Tuensang, Nagaland

Had a very pleasant short stay at the circuit house Tuensang. Would highly recommend this place for travellers from outside Nagaland as well as for those from within the state itself. Tariff depends on room size, but I would recommend booking the upstairs suite if budget permits as it is cleaner and more pleasant. The staff are courteous and helpful. The administration should really make an effort to try and get funding for improving some very needed furniture replacements (however the limitations of the government is well understood). Small tasteful interior improvements here and there would really scale up the potential of this place. But all in all, nothing bad to say about my experience.

If you are staying in VIP room first floor then it is worth else it is okish. Parking is good. No water and need to ask the staff to turn on motor. Staffs are not reachable by phone during night as they may be sleeping. No food during night or on Sundays - needs to preorder. Premise with in police office so safe.

It's a very good place and also it's the best view point. Their hospitality is A+ Rooms are very clean and hygiene. Good SOP maintain, last but not the lest don't forget to visit, 100% you won't regret. Love from Kohima.

You will need permit to enter into Tuensang. There is hardly any place to stay in Tuensang unless you know someone. I visited Tuensang twice and both times I had to stay with local contacts. It is a beautiful district with no B&B or hotel for tourists or other visitors. English is well understood and people are amicable. Circuit house is better avoided but if you stay carry your own things you may brave it. You may have to take permission from local district officials. Surrounded by hills, greenery, streams and view of the Myanmar border is all Tuensang has to offer. Visit if you an ardent nature lover and willing to brave the 10 hour road journey from Dimapur. If you are lucky you may be able to book a seat in the five seater chopper which runs only once a week from Dimapur to Tuensang but this has to be booked in advance. Vegetarians will find fresh vegetables and have no difficulty at all, the potatoes, green beans, pulses, fruits are organic. For meat eaters its the place to be in, especially if you love pork. Do try Naga food, I love it! But again do not go to Tuensang without planning where to stay. The road is not great so be prepared for it. It is advised that road travellers break the journey and spend the night at Mokochung in Hotel Whispering Winds and continue rest of the journey next day.

Government guest house for Government officials and others visiting Tuensang. The accommodation is decent with clean premises and good staff, however, food has to be arranged from outside.

Holding for a night. The caretaker, a young and tall gentleman with a baritone voice- an exceptional human being thank you. And to the kitchen staff, thank you for the beautiful and delicious prepared food.

Small government guest House with all the basic amenities. Option for food is limited but overall polite staff.
