The Palm Guest House

I had a lovely 3 day stay at The Palm Guest House. The people running the guest house are extremely warm and welcoming and this really elevates the experience. Liza, the manager, was very friendly and hospitable - I enjoyed chatting with her. Manen, the owner, was out of town but called me to check if I was comfortable and whether I needed anything. The single room and the attached bathroom were neat, clean and well sized. There's a small in-house dining hall and breakfast items as well as Thalis are served fresh. In addition to breakfast, I had the Veg Thali for dinner, which was very nice. The guest house is located in a residential area about 3km from the city centre. Taxis are easily available to anywhere in town or the surrounding villages. There's a taxi stand just 2 minutes walk from the guest house, from where you also get shared taxis (locally called line taxis) to B.O.C. junction in the centre of town. Hope I get a chance to visit again.

The room we stayed in was in the basement and by the side of a busy road. So no views as such. Every amenity was given in the room. There is major issues with water in the Kohima city and as a result there was no water in our toilet. The host w as considerate enough to provide us another bathroom closeby. But the attached toilet should have been set right. The service is emaculate and the host is a very handson guy and is very helpful.

Wonderful place, great value. Liza is the perfect host! Nice to have breakfast with a view on the balcony. Internet works but could be faster...

I stayed for 2 days. Manen and ato were great. They helped a lot with my local itinerary. Both of them are mazing people and I had a great stay. Definitely recommend this property and will sure come back. All the best Manen and Ato.

An awesome place to stay in Kohima! The hill view from the homestay is beautiful. The owner and the staff were helpful and made sure our stay was comfortable. The location is easily accessible to the city. Would definitely recommend this place on Kohima !

Cleanliness, that's highlight of this guest house. Both rooms and common areas are neat and tidy. It's located at lirie colony, walkable distance from the highway. View of the nearby valley from the room is awesome. Both single and double rooms are available, one of the single rooms has a mini kitchen too. At last, not least I would like to appreciate the guest house manager, Athu. She is doing an excellent job and addresses all the needs of a guest. She was giving us tips on kohima and nearby attractions. Overall, an excellent budget property in Kohima.

Neat and clean property, amazing host and excellent food. The view from balcony was great. What more can you ask for? Our Nagaland travel experience was kind of a mixed bag, so it was nice to find them. If you are travelling to Kohima, give them a visit, you'll be pleased.
