The view from a few rooms is awesome. Staff behaviour is good. The hotel is located in the center of the city

Very lovely hotel situated in the heart of the town. Staffs are very welcoming and friendly. Food is awesome

This hotel is situated at the centre of Kohima, quite close to the war cemetry. We had booked the standard room, which was the only option available in MakeMyTrip; however, the hotel does have other rooms as well. It does not have airconditioning, which is certainly not required at Kohima in normal course. The hotel is clean and the staff is very sincere, knowledged and helpful. Our room had a balcony with a nice view of the town. The room was good for business travellers as well; it had a proper tubelight besides the normal dim yellow lights, and had a snacks tray with food items with only nominal service charge addition to MRP. The restaurant has good ambience and they prepare the food freshly as per guests' tastes. We were quite happy with their vegetarian preparations and took packed meals from them during our local travels. The hotel does not have a lift, but the staff does brings the luggage of the guests requiring help.

Rooms were clean and spacious. No AC in the room, but you may not need it in the cool climate of Kohima. Reception and staffs were polite and helpful. No lifts to go upstairs, but the staffs will assist you in carrying your luggage. Food is of average taste, not so good, not so bad.

Have 2 night stay at this hotel. Just footstep distance from war cemetery. Perfect location for Travellers and also mesmerising view from balcony. Room is clean and bathroom are also too much clean. Gyser, parking, tv, room service are promising. Also the staff behavior is very polite. Food price is reasonable and very testy, complimentary breakfast option is very nice. Overall the best hotel at Kohima.

Very conveniently located and hassle free booking with no hidden cost. What you see is what you pay. Some rooms have good balcony view and some don't so ask for best outside view when booking. Getting here can be quite a problem during rush hours and parking might be difficult to find if you're bringing your own car. But location is the best as it is near all tourist spots and historic sites like WW2 cemetery. Lots of eateries nearby (you can also order in at the hotel restaurant) for both local and non local cuisines. Very calm atmosphere with good staff and clean environment over all.

Have stayed again in East Gate Hotel being the most convenient place to stay. Have been noticing Ms. Amu who is restaurant service. She is working very passionately, dedicatevily and silently to satisfaction. Again nice stay and service.

The hotel is centrally located and offers rooms of relatively good value, with the staff being attentive, friendly and professional. I was a disappointed with the breakfast, however: for 200 INR, all I got was tepid - if not cold - puri sabji, tea and boiled eggs after arriving around 9 AM. Breakfast starts around 7 AM I think, and it seems like they don't bother much about keeping the food fresh and warm after that. Therefore it's probably best avoided if you aren't an early riser. But apart from that, I had a very pleasant stay.
