Olive Homestay

Located just about 1.5km from the downtown, this homestay offers the best holiday gateway in Kohima. The rooms were clean, quiet, and cosy. The view from the rooms was mesmerizing. We can experience the night landscape of Kohima from the room's balcony. The breakfast was top notch. The Naga thali dinner was delicious and on point. The best part of the stay was the sweet and friendly host and her helper. She was such an adorable person, we even offered an on house dinner the night before our return. We had to extend our stay for a day and the host was fully supportive. Overall the best experience. I would recommend this homestay to everyone who ever visiting Kohima.

I had a fantastic 2 weeks stay at the Olive Homestay in Kohima in Sep'2024! The homestay is exceptionally well organized, and the staff deserve a special mention. Myon, Apon and Teresa did a great job of taking care of all my requests and were very prompt and kind. The cooking was supervised and made by the owner herself and the food was exceptionally good! I enjoyed many varieties of local Naga food for dinner. The homestay is located near the popular High School Junction area and as such is well connected to the heart of Kohima without actually being in the hustle and bustle. The rooms and bathrooms are large and well maintained. Hot water is instantly available thanks to the good quality geysers that have been installed. A must in Kohima where it can be cool to cold in the mornings and evenings. The views from the room were the highlight of the trip, as the balcony overlooked a beautiful valley with paddy fields and surrounded by the hills of Kohima. The favourite part of my day was to have my breakfast coffee on the balcony! And I also spent many relaxing hours reading there. All in all an amazing stay at the Olive Homestay in Kohima and I recommend it highly for a relaxing holiday in Kohima.

Warm host. Extremely clean rooms with a balcony and a good view. sumptuous food and lovely ambience. Not very far from the main market . Host took care of our trek to dzukou valley since we hadnt booked anything.

Clean sheets, Clean washrooms, warm bed, overall a Nice experience. Owner was very polite and charged reasonably even during Hornbill Fest, unlike others.
