Hotel Lavisto

Lovely hotel, good location, clean large rooms, friendly staff, safe for solo women travelers, great view of Kohima sunrise and sunset. Enjoyed my stay here. Will definitely recommend. Reasonably priced too.

I stayed at the Lavisto for 2 nights in November for a short visit to the Kohima Cemetery. The location is perfect, 50 meters from the entrance to the cemetery and in the heart of the town. Accommodation choices are limited in Kohima but the Lavisto ticks all the boxes. Clean, tidy and friendly, the staff are exceptional, the restaurant was fantastic, we had all our meals there. The hotel is basic, don't expect frills, good clean rooms and great service.

No idea about other hotels in Kohima. However, this hotel must be one of the best hotels in Kohima. The rooms were quite clean and service was too good. The rooms were smelling nice. All the apparatus were working. Had a nice view. And most importantly the hotel staff including the manager was extremely helpful, kind and co-operating. They truly believe in "ATITHI DEVO BHAVA". A must stay hotel. Update: Its positive vibes have not faded yet.

We stayed at the Hotel Lavisto for 2 nights in Nov 25. The hotel was initially advertised on Booking.com but later removed. We contacted the hotel directly and confirmed our reservation and arranged a taxi pick up from Dimapur airport. This worked perfectly. While the rooms are very clean they are basic, regular power cuts are common. The generator will usually kick in. So the hotel is clean, tidy and comfortable. Where the hotel excels is the staff, they were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel food was amazing, absolutely delicious and very good. We decided to eat at the hotel restaurant throughout our stay. The location is 50 meters from the entrance to the Kohima Cemetery, which was perfect for our trip. I would recommend the Lavisto to anyone visiting Kohima for a few days.

We the avon will always book our the hotel for our meeting in hotel lavisto..always beyond words the words the service and always supports they always give.. We had a big event towday and all are appreciating the cuisine they have given..overall superb love it

I am in love with this hotel most importantly the staff here. They are the sweetest and most pleasant. I haven't found so much pleasantness in some of the 5 star hotels also. Always ready to help with a smile on their face. Not a big fancy place but they have all the amenities and super neat and clean. In love with them

We technically stayed in this hotel twice. We checked out for our visit to Dzukou and chose Lavisto after returning. We couldn't look at other options. Location is super convenient, staff is very polite and attentive, rooms are very clean, all appliances like the water heater work well, there are enough plug points in every room and last, but not the least, the view at the back. And did I mention about Nuova, the restaurant? Again, very clean and has a decent variety of food. Whatever we tried, we loved it. We will stay there again when we visit next, without a doubt. Highly recommend.

The hotel is opposite war cemetery and the market is at a walkable distance. The staff is extremely friendly and hospitable. We stayed here for two days and they helped us with everything we needed. The rooms and washroom are neat and clean. They have a sun deck where we spent most of our time as it had amazing views of the entire Kohima. We are glad that we landed up here. The hotel has a restuarant which serves fresh and tasty food. If someone is looking to stay in the city then it is the place to stay as all the good cafes and restaurants are nearby.
